Hello all,
I currently have Bolide 27 and I truly love it. However, I have seen several people carry the mini version crossbody and they look so cute. Is it practical and worth to buy? Can anyone who owns one share with me about pros and cons? Thank you in advance.

I just purchased the mini bolide last week. Mine is mauve sylvestre in chèvre. MS (lavender) is a go to color in my wardrobe. So when it came out, I really hoped there would be a B or K in it. There wasn’t.

I never had bolide or mini bolide on my radar. Mini bags aren’t really my thing but mini bolide was cute and perfect!

now, I’ve only had her less than a week and I just love her. Looks great with or without strap. She fits all the basics for me, an H Atout small card holder, readers, sunglasses and readers (without cases just microfiber pouch), phone, keys and 1 lipstick.... fully closed.

I’m 5’6” and at what i would say is the max height for the strap to sit at a high crossbody. Won’t fit crossbody with a winter coat (but that’s really not an issue for my location).

I’d say that a con is that it doesn’t fit much but I feel it fits more than my C18. Shoulder strap is good but doesn’t sit super well on my shoulder (when worn in single side, not x-body) which might be due to narrow strap, chèvre leather and not being broken in yet. Handheld only without the strap. It will not fit over your hand.

Pros are the zip closes well, feet, holds what I need for basics and is just SO STINKING CUTE! i would guess that you can fit other straps to wear with it H or other designer.

again, this is “my color” and usually prefer K or B and thought that if available would want one of those in MS. Now that mini bolide has entered the picture, I’m not certain that I need a B or K in MS as I love mini bolide and can’t imagine my collection without it.

not certain that that’s a full pro and con. I would say if you can use a smaller bag that fits the basics and love bolide design, it is worth trying if you have a store near you. Priced well at $5350

Great thread as also interested in the mini. Iam streamlining and my bags are getting smaller and smaller.:biggrin:( Though I still prefer something that can take my phone.) There was a blog post with more details from featherfactor- let me see if I can find it

I brought a Mini Bolide in Bleu du Nord a few months ago and I love this mini bag! I'm not a big fan on mini bags because it just doesn't fit the bare minimum that i need to take with me, so mini bolide wasn't on my radar at all until i seen and tried it in store!!

It fits a small iphone, a small pack of tissue, a card holder/or a small pouch with some notes and card, and a pair of sunglasses in soft case. It's a great bag for me to bring for a weekend or vacation!

I'm 174cm tall, so the biggest downside is the strap length as I can't wear it crossbody with just the original strap. I ended up using a twilly to make an extension so that I can wear it crossbody.

I’m so glad OP started this thread. I’ve been noticing the Mini Bolide on/off for the past year, via the internet. Never really got a chance to ask my SA about it since I’m still hoping for a K25.

Well, I found this bit of deep red exotic eye candy on the H website today. It wasn’t there a few days ago. If only it was a light colored Birdie, I’d snap it up in an instance. :giggle:

Could not have said this better myself. Just got my noir mini bolide and it is the best!!

I can wear mind fine with the original strap crossbody but I’m only 5’2”.
They also have straps with smaller clasps made just for mini Kelly and mini bolide. Should say in the description on the website.
I’m tempted to get one to dress it up

I’m 5’6” and can wear mine crossbody with original strap. However, I’m close the max.

@Hikitten is correct. Only the mini straps fit this bag. Don’t order the straps that say large clasp...they won’t work. HTH
