It's a pity that men don't pen open letters to other men in asking them to stop objectifying and demeaning women in their songs.

Hopefully, Miley won't be ripping up any photos this weekend while hosting SNL.

Sinead has always been one to speak her mind, I can respect that! I can't believe how many women in the business allow themselves to be nothing more than a piece of meat! It's very rare to see someone fully clothed & allowed to showcase their vocal talents.

See... I can go back and listen to Nothing Compare 2 U all day. Sinead was way pretty in the close up face frame but I still can't listen to Wrecking Ball. All the saliva in Miley's mouth hanging on her teeth grossed me out. The song is meh to me and her voice annoys me. I do enjoy some of her other songs... Party in the USA is fun, and I liked her version of Joline. She can sing great, but I don't think these recent songs match her voice.

it isn't surprising to me... i don't think she really has any talent... i mean yeah, she makes decent things but average/decent isn't enough to back up her antics. what works for kanye (who has proven himself again and again) isn't going to work for her because no one, literally NO ONE, takes her seriously.

Sadly, all this wisdom will fall on deaf ears. Miley doesn't understand that one of the tricks of this machinery she operates in is to deceive her into believing she herself is the author of her image, that she's doing what her inner self is screaming out for her do to. Miley thinks she's immune to manipulation. She probably thinks she's doing the manipulating, and is therefore the puppetmaster and not the puppet.

What it comes down to is that everyone, including Miley on some level, understands that Miley doesn't have the raw talent to carry her, so she must resort to antics. While Miley paid lip service to Sinead's timeless video, she probably looks down her nose at Sinead and thinks she's way superior and has already far surpassed Sinead's accomplishments. Miley is too drunk on her own Molly-laced KoolAid to take anyone's advice.
