I always find it amusing when a bunch of white people say "I didn't see anything racial in that"

I don't see anything amusing about it... I think it's sad really, how much racism seems to be one of the first things on so many Americans' minds. It's probably quite justly, but I - as an outsider - am just really really surprised about the extent of it.

Well, you don't live in America, so perhaps you don't see its presence and impact, but trust me, it's there.

Well of course, that's why I said I'm an outsider... I do believe you.

Still, I don't see the "racial" thing about Miley's antics. Is it the way she "twerks" and dresses? Because that, if anything, is a cultural thing to me... And I always feel like imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. But I might just be naive.

I'm not white.

I always find it depressing when people get up in arms about appropriating culture or whatever, but are silent about children born out of wedlock, people of color in prison, and the dropout rate. Those things require real work to change so I can see why no one wants to bother with it. :(

So really don't find anything remotely racial in her performance?

And I tend to see a lot of people upset about the other issues you mentioned, but why do you feel that makes any other specific issue any less important to look at? As long as some people are addressing an inequality, that's a good thing, no? With that being said, you don't think that sexualizing black women might lead to children born out of wedlock?

Miley Cyrus missed her own post-VMA party to record tracks with Kanye West

After tormenting the Twitterverse with her twerking routine at the VMAs, Miley Cyrus went right into the studio with Kanye West to record a remix of his song “Black Skinhead,” Page Six has exclusively learned. Cyrus skipped her own VMA after-party at No. 8 and went into the studio for what her reps described as a late-night, “top- secret” collaboration, which sources said was with none other than West.

The “Yeezus” rapper was one of the few artists not spotted out at Jay Z and Diddy’s bash in New York, which went into the early hours of Monday. West was also said to have headed straight to the studio after the MTV event at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. We hear Cyrus will appear with West on a remix of “Black Skinhead,” due to be part of a remix EP that will be released later this year. West was due to perform “Skinhead” at the VMAs, but reportedly changed his mind at the last minute to perform the haunting track “Blood on the Leaves,” at which time viewers only saw his enlarged shadow rapping against a backdrop of a forest.

that's true! I mean, I'm sure they have a ton of properties and money tied up between one another, seeing that they're both money makers and in showbiz.

They would use a many advisors & attorneys.
No way would they be financially connected at this point. IF they have an assets together it'd only be the house they live in.
Only the very naive would share assets when they aren't married.
Frankly doubting even after getting married if they share assets.
