Milestone Bag - Mon Mono?

Hi friends. Need help with a decision. Backstory is that I’ve been going thru my closet weeding out what to sell vs. keep and I’ve come to realize I have a very classic style when it comes to LV and fashion in general, everything else is going. My most cherished bags have been milestone bags - DE, Mono or DA. This year is a biggie for me and after contemplating what would be a special, timeless addition, I’m leaning toward Mon Monogram. I love the LV saffron yellow and selected Carmel as the 2nd. Haven’t seen either in person. Thoughts on this selection? Colors ok or clashing? Or something else I should consider? So appreciate your help, only you all would understand…:love:

It looks nice! I like how the orange color you picked for one of the stripes is repeated in the badge. I think it'd look more cohesive if you changed the second color to the lighter cream color that's on the badge too.
Also, there are now more options for the shape of the stripes, like waves etc. maybe you can play and see if you like any of these newer options.

Thank you! I love how they match the colors with the stripe. I’m attaching a mock-up with the Carmel & quarts instead of yellow, thoughts?

Personally, I'd prefer the first one. It just looks more fun, looks more like it has personality.

Thank you! The 1st is my fav. It was very easy to put together just following my gut on what I like. Hoping that doesn’t change 10sec after I order, lol!

I love the colors of the first one!! Mon mono is so personal and so fun, also incredibly difficult to decide on. I have done 3 mon mono pieces and love all 3. I think you should go with what you love, like Leah said go with your gut on what makes you happy. I love seeing them on the forum and looking at the different ways people can put them together.
I can’t wait to see what you decide on!!

Thank you so much for replying, was really hoping you and @BULL would chime in on this. Seemed so easy until I made the 2nd one, now I’m loving them both. Tossed between saffron, Carmel & quarts (cream?) and will pop into my local LV in a couple hrs.
Btw - love your selections for speedy & neverful!

I like the colors on the left better with the Carmel instead of the creme..

First, congrats on the milestone :)
Second, Mon Mono is always fun and you indeed have good taste, a tropical colour combo can be fun of course, but I'd much better go with the classics too. Unless it's my 100th Mon Mono :)

On the colours: saffron is one of my absolute favourites, but...
When it comes to Mon Mono, I prefer to follow the rules of make-up by choosing an accent colour, a dominant one, and another to provide contrast or elevate the first one, so it's less dark/vibrant/light, whatever the main aspect was that made the first one the primary colour.
So while I wouldn't say that the first combo is bad, I find the saffron and the camel to have very similar colour properties: both on the warm yellow spectrum, similar lightness level, etc... so if I were you, I'd choose one of them as the accent colour, and then pick another one to complement it. That is why I instinctively liked the version with the creme colour much more. That is an excellent combo with great contrast, good pairing. If you love saffron more (which I also do), I'd go with another secondary colour instead of the camel.
