Saw an "outlet version" of the Hamilton just-in at the Kors outlet. $299.
Not exactly the same but close enough. SA says it is the older version???

It was visually ( did not picked it up or look it over very closely for quality) very nice and I was really tempted.

My outlet has a bunch of Hamiltons.... the small ones and the big totes. They looked the same to me and I remember telling the SA I was surprised to see them at the outlets since they are still full priced in a lot of stores. She agreed.

Not that I've seen. Last time I was there my outlet had the Astor hobo's and satchels. I asked about the totes and they said they had them but they sold out very quickly. Since this weekend is Labor Day I'm hoping they'll get a big stock. I plan on going Saturday morning.

I saw the too ( I love it) but I think the hardware of the ones at the outlet is different than the other ones. There was one Gold Hamilton Large that had the same hardware as the ones at the regular store. Can anyone confirm this? Also are the outlet bag different in quality than the regular store ones? Thanks in advance, M

^^ I think they use lower quality leather and hardware on the outlet versions. It's especially apparent on the "metallic" outlet bags...I think it's akin to Coach's "Made For Factory" version of their best selling bags...meaning, similar design but lessor quality.

All that aside, if you love it...why not pick it up for less?:p

^^ I'm going to the outlet mall today...I'll have to check it out...but, I noticed last time I was there they had a version of the Uptown Astor tote...except it had different studs and a different quality leather...and it was just called Astor...not Uptown Astor...

I haven't been to an outlet mall in sooo long. If you, or anyone else here, has the opportunity to look into this, please do. I wouldn't take the first SA's word for it but talk to a manager, do a bit of research.

I may go again but if anyone finds more info please let us know. Thanks in advance.

I most likely would stop by the regular store to compare. With the Coach bags I really do not like the MFF bags. In my humble opinion they look cheap and some of the leather look like if it were plastic but this is just my appreciation and I am no expert.

In Woodbury they had a display of Hamiltons that were 'factory exclusives'. The SA's said they do make lines especially for the factory store. Just like Coach.

Those Hamiltons didn't have locks, but a name plate detail similar to the Gansevoort satchel. IMO they were really sharp looking.

That is what they told me at the factory store as well. They said the FP versions would never make it to the factory store as they are too popular in the full price stores, than about 2 months later I see a bag resembling the Hamilton at the factory store ( apparently the new factory store version).

I wasn't sure until yesterday what the obvious differences were.... it appears to be the hardware. I suppose they have to cut costs somewhere in order to justify the $100 difference in price. My store had them at full factory store price of $298, if I recall correctly.

Wonder how long before there is a quilted factory version.
