I tried this on in the store and didn't find the shoulder straps to be appealing. I found them to be very thin and uncomfortable. Also, the tote design of the bag actually tends to result in one of the hands consistently falling off my shoulder. I am glad to hear it worked for others because it quite lovely!

I just bought this one in Dubai on holiday. I REALLY like the structured look. This model is medium but closes with a zipper. I admit the straps are not the most comfy ever, but they do break in and get softer. I'm only worried about possible creases/folds because I don't want to baby the bag too much. Also wish it had feet under the bottom - it doesn't. Anyway, I love my new bag and I'm so happy with MK prices. I did have an Astor Satchel some years ago but never used it and sold it again. I saw so many MK bags in Dubai, they seem very popular there.

I think I paid about 380 USD for it. I don't know how that corresponds to US prices. Lots of local women have these bags. It's a nice change from Celine, Gucci and Hermès you see there. I think European prices for those brands are lower. I often visit Dubai and many goods cost the same as in Denmark, but some things are a lot cheaper there - including restaurant visits etc.

They told me in the store in Dubai that this version is new. It's better suited for the European market than the open bags - because of the higher crime levels in Europe
