Jayne, I do hope that he can perform the way he used to for his sake & for his fans but I agree he is a lot older now!

jun3machina, can assure you it is purely because he is a legend as jbmom86 said & a fabulous performer not for any other reason that I would see him!

Caitlin, I believe he was set up because of his wealth pure & simple! I think he, as an abused child never grew up & is a real Peter Pan figure! I believe he relates better to kids than adults with no ulterior motives involved.

I agree, Roz. I think he never had a childhood growing up and that he jumped at the chance to recreate it when he got the opportunity.

Yes, the sleeping arrangements weren't ideal and that they seemed iffy to people but in his innocent mind he was having sleepovers with his friends.

Yes the whole Playpark/wonderland thing was a bid to recreate a childhood that he should have had but never did!

YES! Thank you! A lot of people look at me like I'm nuts when I say that!

It's difficult discussing something like this with people who are trained to think 'It's either A or B. It's never possibly C.'

In this case it is possibly C.

Just focusing on the sleeping arrangements is pretty damning but it's also important to examine the person's state of mind.

Nope, I wouldnt pay to see him I am afraid, I think his stage presence was magnificent and I have seen him perform before, but he just seems to have lost his magic, I just do not think he has it any more, I know this thread is not about his innocence but I do believe he was a victim of blackmail and that while he was wrong to have put himself in a vulnerable position, that he did not take advantage of the children, their parents did that by trying to extort money from him :(

I did have a weird dream the other night that they have been busily creating a cyber Michael lol, and some fit thirty something dancer is busily being given bad surgery to look just like him so that they can perform!!!! :D

Roz, I hope he proves us wrong and you see the show of your life :)

I don't think i will be going, i saw him at Wembley stadium during his Bad tour in 1988 & from what i can remember it was an awesome show then but there is no way after all this time he would ever be able to recreate that.

I agree that whatever may, or may not have happened in his private life should not have any relevance to anything it's just that i think he is way past his prime.
Diehard fans will obviously think differently & i hope they enjoy the shows if they go.

incidently i recently saw The Doors in concert and they were excellent .... & their singer died in 1970 so it just goes to show i may be wrong lol

My DS loves his performing particularly his dancing so I will take him & DD!

Chloe-babe, yes I agree it was to extort money. I think in some ways the thread could be about his innocence as it will influence people as to whether they will see him or not.

LOL I hope you are wrong about the Cyber Michael or I will have to ask for a refund LOL. I think though that while they might make the face it would be hard to find another guy with the moves, hope Michael can still make them!

This whole trip of course depends on me getting tickets, I will be early to bed on the 12th & up at the crack of dawn on the 13th, no late night TPF! lol!

I wouldn't pay to see him, although I agree that he is an incredible musician and performer. Also incredibly odd and eccentric, but I don't think that has much effect on the type of performer he is. As for age, the Stones, Pink Floyd, the Eagles and many others have performed decades after they were first popular. They may not be able to move the way they once did, but there is no replacing them performing their own music live.

As to the guilt/innocence issue, I thought the victim was able to identify specifics regarding MJ's genitals? My major concern is for his children - not that I think he would abuse them in any way. I just think that wanting to recreate one's childhood and wanting to BE a child doesn't necessarily translate well into being a parent. And growing up with any parent that eccentric would certainly be taxing on a child, as many celebrity's children can attest to.

I will go if I live in London. I won't expect him to perform like he did years ago. I support him all the way because I believe he's innocent. People just want to exploit his wealth. Have a good time and report back to us after the show. Thank you.

Hmmm ... I've been too-ing and fro-ing on this all week! I don't know if I will go or not. I've asked my mom if she'd like to go and she's up for it but hmm I just don't know if we should! It'd mean travelling over to London from Ireland for it, of course we'd make a weekend out of it, etc.

I'm just a bit wary that since he needed a tele-prompter at the press conference the other day to say a few lines, how will he cope with a 2 hour gig in front of thousands of screaming fans .... aargh, I dunno what to do!

There could be any number of explanations for this. I'm not trying to make excuses or anything, but lets just say that your parents told you to do whatever you could to get yourself in to a "bad" situation with MJ so that you could hit paydirt (which is what the kid said in interviews since the ordeal). So, you would probably try and sneak a look if he was changing in the pool house or something so you could "identify" him more personally...it would strengthen your claim.

There are a ton of other ways someone can see someone's genitals that have nothing to do with sex. Especially if you are trying to for the purpose of setting up a sexual abuse claim and trying to extorting money from someone. (all things the kid said after the fact).

And, the similarities between the kid's description and the peen were "minimal" according to the police.

The whole thing is sad. Especially since the kid's parents put him through all that just for $$, and it was probably just as damaging as actually being sexually abused.

A no go for me either. Nothing to do with his personal life he was a fabulous performer loved everything he did but I just don't think he's got it like he used to and I don't want to contribute any of my money to his weirdness.
