I'm not saying MJ isn't to blame and that he didn't have a drug problem. I'm saying that I have absolutely NO sympathy whatsoever for this doctor. He chose to be a glorified drug dealer and deserves the consequences that are coming to him. I truly hope the DEA/Feds/etc make an example out of him. I know that if it wasn't this doctor, it would have been another. But it was this doctor and now he must answer to the crimes that he's committed. MJ was a major player in the illegal activity and paid with his life. Now this doctor must own up to his actions. Anna Nicole's docs were charged with felonies, I'm sure the law enforcement agencies have something coming for this doc too.

I never said I had sympathy for the doctor in question.Any doctor that knowing engages in this type of activity should be held accountable. If it's proven without a doubt that diprivan was the ultimate cause of death and it was indeed administered by this doctor then a manslaughter charge makes perfect sense,if not I feel a felony charge would be sufficient.
This type of activity has been going on for decades and the problem should have been addressed long ago.

I've known many that suffered excruciating pain, inability to sleep etc on a daily basis. Many had the financial means and could have easily indulged in illegal activity in their quest for relief but instead used their money and god given good sense to take the smarter route.

MJ had options but chose illegal means instead of the smarter options.
I'm not ashamed to admit I feel little if any sympathy for MJ or anyone that takes part in illegal activities. In my opinion MJ and any other celebrity or person that uses their financial means and multiple aliases to obtain outrageous quantities of prescription drugs no matter the reason should be brought up on charges right along side the doctors that knowing prescribe them.MJ used nineteen different aliases including his son Prince's name which by the way I find shameful to say the least.MJ knew damn good and well what he was doing was illegal,it could be said that his untimely death was his ultimate accountability for years of his illegal activity and self serving ways.

Sympathy is all well and good when properly placed, mine goes out to the innocent children he left behind.

Just for the record everyone's actions are relevant when illegal activity is involved even the proclaimed King Of Pop,afterall he was buying their services and ultimitely calling the shots.

Anyone read michael's oxford speech ? I end up crying after reading this part

"But now I am a father myself, and one day I was thinking about my own children, Prince and Paris and how I wanted them to think of me when they grow up. To be sure, I would like them to remember how I always wanted them with me wherever I went, how I always tried to put them before everything else. But there are also challenges in their lives. Because my kids are stalked by paparazzi, they can't always go to a park or a movie with me.
So what if they grow older and resent me, and how my choices impacted their youth? Why weren't we given an average childhood like all the other kids, they might ask? And at that moment I pray that my children will give me the benefit of the doubt. That they will say to themselves: "Our daddy did the best he could, given the unique circumstances that he faced. He may not have been perfect, but he was a warm and decent man, who tried to give us all the love in the world."
I hope that they will always focus on the positive things, on the sacrifices I willingly made for them, and not criticise the things they had to give up, or the errors I've made, and will certainly continue to make, in raising them. For we have all been someone's child, and we know that despite the very best of plans and efforts, mistakes will always occur. That's just being human."

Now this made me tear up big time. Im not sure what he had to sacrifice for them, but still :crybaby:

Agreeing with you again.

There were dozens of doctors supplying MJ with drugs and over the years, probably hundreds of doctors.

Conrad Murray led the police to a closet in another room in MJ's house, a closet that they overlooked when they first did a search, and that closet was filled with prescription drugs that MJ had been stockpiling.

It was just a matter of time before something horrible happened. Even without Conrad Murray in the house attending to him.

Cat it is not Prince his son it is Prince Amir his employee read the news below:

"The search warrant, yet to be lodged with the courts, authorised officers to trawl for bills, test results and emails that mention 19 aliases that police believe Jackson used to obtain drugs, the LA Times reported.

The names include Omar Arnold, Paul Farance, Bryan Singleton, Jimmy Nicholas, Blanca Nicholas, Roselyn Muhammad, Faheem Muhammad, Frank Tyson, Fernand Diaz, Peter Madonie, Josephine Baker, Kai Chase, Prince and Michael Amir, the name of a Jackson employee"

Cat here is the link to the names/aliases used it is NOT Prince Jackson (michaels son) its is Prince Amir

I stand corrected kaka!I had no knowledge regarding the names used before this morning and honestly couldn't have cared less.Using tactics such as these only cement in my mind that MJ was guilty of illegal acts.

That misinformation in regards to his son Prince was given this morning by a GMA host and was the only name mentioned of the 19 on this list. The media outlets have reported so many conflicting so-called facts surrounding this story is hard to distinguish truth from fiction.

Exactly!
As far as the diprivan goes, it's common knowledge that it can be self administered,a simple syringe and a vein will suffice. For all we know MJ may have injected himself without his doctors knowledge.

While much this is true and I'm in no way dismissing this doctor's actions.
All the doctors that ever involved themselves with MJ had a choice.

MJ had a choice as well, instead of admitting himself to a clinic where he could have beat his prescription drug habit he continued to seek out the scum of the earth types and used his money to pry open their prescription pads.He was also aware of the danger involved but addicts tend to want what they want at any and all cost.

Yes,what these types of doctors did was illegal but MJ was a major player in this illegal activity and just as guilty as all involved. He played an illegal and dangerous game with powerful medications for god knows how many years and in the end it bit him in the ass big time.

I agree. It isn't like people don't know the dangers of using drugs.

And the doctor, or should I say doctors knew damn well that abusing their medical powers to supply drugs is illegal. I think what's pissing me off the most is that these doctors take medical oaths and blatantly abuse their power for money. That's the point I'm trying to get across. These doctors need to pay, especially Murray who decided to play God in the name of greed. These doctors are criminals and I hope law enforcement makes an example out of all of them. There are thousands of honorable doctors. Making an example out of these glorified drug dealers will weed out the cockroaches who are making a mockery out of the medical field. Yes, MJ was an addict, I'm not saying that he wasn't. BUT, it doesn't help when you have a bunch of enablers abusing the law at the snap of someone's fingertips. If these criminals are taken off the streets or have their medical licenses yanked, it's a small step in the right direction. I'm sure many people who have trouble sleeping take the smarter route instead of abusing drugs like Ambien. Let's face it, I'm sure MJ probably didn't have people around him looking out for his best interests. All I'm saying is that I hope these doctors are punished accordingly.

Murray came into this at the very end. There have been doctors supplying MJ with drugs for years and years. They probably bought houses, cars and put their kids through college with the money MJ gave them.

I blame them all, but not Murray over the rest.

A few things:

Joe just said Omer is a Jackson. He looks like a member of 3T, doesn't he?

Michael Jackson never got over the burn. The treatments for it NEVER stopped! There was not a time to stop medications, just the hope he could recover from addiction.

Murray broke the law. He killed a man.

I'll post the chef's blog in a sec...

***********004276]LKL WEB EXCLUSIVE: “Paris Was Screaming ‘Daddy, Daddy’”[/COLOR]
Posted: 08:28 PM ET
Celebrity chef Kai Chase was Michael Jackson’s personal chef at the time of his death. She was working in his home the day he died. Below are her chilling memories of the events that day. Kai will be Larry’s guest Thursday night.
The Jackson home was a very loving environment. I worked there on and off since March as Mr. Jackson’s personal chef. In that time, I got to know the kids well. We bonded immediately. They are wonderful children — loving, giving, caring and very close as siblings go. You would never know their dad was one of the most famous people on Earth.
Mr. Jackson was a great father. He was lenient in the evenings. He loved to let them stay up late, watch movies, and eat popcorn at night; but the days were fairly regimented. There was time set aside for study, theater and dance. The house was always filled with games, laughter and music. This makes what happened on June 25th all the more difficult.
The day of Mr. Jackson’s death, I didn’t see him. But his room was upstairs, so that wasn’t unusual. Dr. Conrad Murray had been coming over daily since I returned to the Jackson house in the beginning of June. He would normally arrive around 9 a.m. and leave shortly after lunch. I didn’t really know him well, but everyone in the house was friendly with each other, and he was no exception.
Dr. Murray usually came down to the kitchen around 10 a.m. to get Mr. Jackson something to eat or drink, but on June 25th he didn’t
come downstairs. Again, this didn’t strike me as that unusual — I thought maybe Mr. Jackson’s rehearsal time had been pushed back and he was sleeping late.
I went on with my daily routine, and started preparing lunch. Mr. Jackson and the kids would usually have lunch around 12:30, but that was flexible depending on what was going on that day. Much has been made of Mr. Jackson’s eating habits and weight prior to his death. He seemed to have normal eating habits to me.
At noon on June 25th, I remember looking at my cell phone to check the time. About 5 or 10 minutes after I did that, Dr. Murray came running halfway down the stairs that led to the kitchen, screaming “Hurry, get Prince, get security.” Clearly, something was very wrong.
I instantly felt the energy in the house change. It was normally a warm, happy home. In an instant that feeling was gone. The mood became very unsettling. I tried to continue with my lunch preparations, but the house became chaotic. Security guards were rushing by, the housekeepers were crying, Paris was screaming “Daddy, Daddy.” The children knew something was very wrong. This was their father — the only person they have in the world. We weren’t told what was going on, but you could feel things were very bad. We eventually gathered everyone together in a circle — the three kids, all the staff — and we prayed. “God, please let everything be O.K. with Mr. Jackson.”
Around 1:15 or 1:30p.m security told all the employees to leave the house. We asked if Mr. Jackson was all right, and were just told he had been taken to the hospital. We still didn’t know what was happening, but the sight of a stretcher in the foyer of the house earlier told me things were not good. Still, I didn’t learn of Mr. Jackson’s death until later that day on the radio.
It was a devastating day, and one I will never forget.

Solange thank you for that article. I do not like that dr one bit. He knew Mj was dead he was covering his ass when he called Prince to watch him do cpr on mj (making prince the witness) Imagine how traumatic that must be for the kid

MJ has been trashed in the media for so long if he does something good it was never reported what was reported are the damaging ones. No one is perfect mj is only human. He is not the only entertainer/actor/actress that is addicted to painkillers and prescription drugs. Heath ledger died of the same thing, but the media portrayed him nicely while they portrayed mj differently.
