The Korean association of plastic surgeons is NOT a government website, nor is it a government entity btw. Just like the ISAPS and ASPS (american society of plastic surgeons), all 3 associaitions are NOT government associations.
Yeah , this associate belong to the Korea Government, just like the ASPS + ISAPS belong to the US government. They are the department who monitor and register plastic surgeon licensing.

WRONG. those associations are NOT government bodies. Pls dont post false information. And no, they are not the ones who register the licenses for plastic surgeons. To become a member / constituent of those organizations you have to show your medical liscense issued by the government and then pay the membership fee, BUT they are NOT the government branch in charge of issuing medical liscenses, because they are NOT government entites. And what government entity do you know that will charge a membership fee? NONE. Not even government certified conveyancers have to pay a fee to be listed on the government website.

And once more you got it wrong with the ISAPS too. It doesnt belong to the US government lol. Do you even know what it stands for? Its an international society of plastic surgeons. How can the US government control jurisdiction of plastic surgeons in other countries? That makes no sense. Also, do you know how I know this? My surgeon B.Mendelson was the president of the ISAPS. He explained to me how these surgical societies work. They are not government entites.

You also realize that if in fact these 3 organizations are in fact government entities, it would state it on the websites. Instead for example on the korean society of plastic surgeons website it states "

The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons is an organization consisting of plastic surgeons who lead the development of plastic surgery in Korea.

It doesnt mention that its a government entity because it legally can't. And about your claim that they are the ones who register/issue plastic surgeon liscensing. Here's another excerpt "The Korean Association of Plastic Surgeons allows foreign visitors to search plastic surgery specialists certified by the Korean government ". Now if they are as you (falsely) claim that the organization that registers and issues the medical liscenses, why on earth would that state that one of their purpose is to allow foreign visitors to search for plastic surgeons CERTIFED BY THE KOREAN GOVERNMENT. If you were correct it would instead state "the purpose is to allow foreign visitors to search for specialists certified by the Korean society of plastic surgeons", which it does not.

Thanks for pointing out that I was this WRONGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG…

Hi all, today I want to share a method how to find a KOREA PLASTIC SURGEON license and listed with the PRS KOREA Portal of Korean Plastic Surgeons.

I been reading the entire forum, basically, no one telling us how to find license plastic surgeon in Korea. I been reading all this “My shortlist is xxxclinic, etc” or “My plastic surgery review xxx Clinic” or “Surgery buddy 2021/2022 KaoKao Group chat) or “– apparently all this might be done by marketing promoter, or “Henry system” or girl posting for discount purposes , I appreciate all the girls who post a review, but to be honest the exact result only can show AFTER 1.5years – 2 years , so it might be too early/soon to say that the clinic is doing a good job.

Also I go to those clinic website, they hire some unknown model just for plastic surgery, like the content of instagram, they never tag the real person in ig so that you can see the real person life after surgery or something and you might ask her some questions (sometime girls that on YouTube I ask WHO is your surgeon? Either they don’t reply or they are saying I can’t remember), so you wouldn’t know if their result is real good afterwards.

The valuable things I read is those BOTCHED case and ghost doctor information. This has pause me into those FCATORY Clinic, there is so many YouTube channel that targeted foreigner and those of us doesn’t know where to start to find a clinic.

I been hanging in the group chat and this forum for 6 months, all the lengthy chat history and forums post make it very difficult to identify which one are real or marketing.

According to the news information that I read, assuming some statistic here,

Total Surgeon in GANGNAM AREA: 600

How many procedures per year in Korea: 1 million cases

Time for Rhinoplasty: 1.5-3 hours

Time for Eyelid: 1-3 hours

1000000/600= 1666.00 cases per clinic per year

1666.00 / 365 days = 4.5 / 5 cases per day.

Imagine the doctor needs to rush 5 cases per day and endless consultation. Don’t be surprised if they rush you after 15-20mins consultation time. This is why they need to hire part time doctors to help them.

METHOD:

STEP 1: Go to this government website: PRS KOREA Portal of Korean Plastic Surgeons

http://www.prskorea.co.kr/English/hospital/index.asp#

STEP2: Click the AREA , PROVINCE example GANGNAM

STEP3: SERACH the Doctor name or use CLTR+F to search Clinic name

REMEMBER
not all doctor in the clinic are all PLASTIC SURGEON License, so when you ask for consultation only ask the one listed with plastic surgeon license, ALWAYS look for DOCTOR not the clinic brand name.

Also the search is weird, you need to type EXCAT this format :
1. Search for your doctor by typing his/her name in the search bar.
2. Please write family name, first name in order
ex) Hong, Ghil Dong

Dr (dot) Kim (coma) Deok Jung

Dr.
Kim,DeokJung

Note: I don’t know why when I view on mobile, I can view some suspended license doctor, on website I CAN NOT view it, it like censorship out. So please view it with your phone.

And then I guess if we stick to these 600 plastic surgeon are licenses in GANGNAM we should be safe 50%. BUT you need to click one by one on the website which listed with the surgeon and see the real case review and check Instagram if the photos is Heavy photoshop. Then from there you choose your surgeon.

Note: on the Chinses version http://www.prskorea.co.kr/Chinese/

It kind of stated special department for the eyes or nose, in the English version it doesn’t so I guess need to figure that out too one by one.

Next article, I’m going to write to see who we can ensure our safety such as maybe having our own videographer during surgery, like a women who give birth who will record their birth process, so do our beauty surgery process. (I read there is a bill might pass in Korea where CCTV during surgery time is a must, will have to wait and see) this article written on August 31st, 2021

hi, may i know if i choose plastic surgery hospital like view, JW, Regen etc, does they have ghost doctor?

I don't know, but you can insist ask them to give you CCTV for the entire surgery, just tell them you need it for memory? or you hire videography to film during surgery, but I' have not try so not sure if the clinic will agree, if they don't you find another one.

Did you do something like that to make sure there is no ghost doctor? is there any hospitals which you could recommend? I have been doing research regarding which hospitals.

Well, getting cosmetic procedures done at a fully functioning hospital here is always going to be safer. I've seen plastic surgery clinic operating rooms, and they never really read "medical" to me, more like rooms with medical equipment in them. I'm sure they're not all like this, but I personally feel more comfortable knowing there's an emergency room with 100% board certified staff on-hand. There are too many "doctors" working out of clinics that let their licenses lapse, or ones that aren't certified at all.

I'm getting my breast reduction at an actual hospital as opposed to a clinic. A lot of locals here opt for getting their surgeries done at hospitals rather than clinics (I have tons of Korean friends that prefer it).
Thank you so much for sharing all the useful tips. I've just started searching the surgeon for my facelift, but there're so many unreal experiences from the prompters. I'm going to follow your advice and try to find the specialist in the hospital.
Hope you had a successful operation with your docotor.
