Oooh! Love this. I have been hunting a gold hobo to replace the MK that I mentioned.
Love these. Your BV reminded me that I had been looking for a colored metallic bag. I need to put that back on the to buy list. :graucho:

And that Tanner Krolle!!! :faint: Have you shown that before? If so, how did I miss it?!?!

LOL! I was just realizing I forgot to show all my gold items.

I also have a Prada tote that’s trimmed in gold snake, a Fossil gold wristlet (I never use this but keep it cause ya never know lol!) and I still have the MK hobo but plan to put her up for sale I have my eye on another casual gold bag to replace her. :biggrin:View attachment 4097797
That Prada is gorgeous! Love your bags, I'm thinking I need a few more metallics now!

OMG, I was just thinking this today!! Huge popularity increase with metallics again this season. I'm also seeing them everywhere and have been eyeing up the new releases from Valentino.. lots of metallics for pre-fall 2018. I read online that "space" is the theme for clothes this year?! So metallics...! I want this bag sooo bad! They released it in pink, gold, silver, and blue. (pic from Google images)

I think I’m one of the biggest proponents and wearers of metallic bags on TPF. I just adore them!!!! :yahoo:I wear them dressy to casual 12 months of the year. For me, they are the best neutral.

I tend to wear silver more than gold because I wear white gold jewelry most often. But, I love gold bags as well and "need" to add a casual one. I'm considering the BV pillow and want to look at some others as well.

My Silvers:

These are amazing. Maybe this is the reason for the sparkle in Sparkletastic?!

Valentino had this colour last year too. Metalics are always there lurking on the shelves.

I don’t know or care whether a metallic bag trend is on its way back, but I do really like metallics and have for a long time. I tend to wear them more in the summer, largely because I hate beige with a passion and haven’t found another non-metallic neutral that works for me. I personally prefer pewter and copper for day, and silver and gold for evening, but pewter and copper are not the easiest to find, and I agree with the others that metallics have to be done well, or they can look pretty cheap. I’m posting photos of a pewter Ralph Lauren Ricky that I’ve used for a long time (stock photo, sorry) and my newest acquisition, a Bottega Veneta knot clutch, which is maybe more grey than pewter but has a lovely sheen. Happy hunting!

Beautiful bags. And I agree with all your comments. In particular, I also really don’t like beige / nude bags. They look blah and dated IMO. Metallics are so much a better neutral option with a range of tones and colors.
