When I was buying a wallet at the Vegas boutique, the SA told me the Gold Metallic Edge contains real gold. Not sure if it is true or not.

My seller just sent me a picture of 5 ME bags- looks like there's a gray or white, bleu roi, dark blue, light pink, and black.
When I checked the Bal website, what looks like bleu roi was labelled as bleu egyptien.. It looks exactly the same. Anyone know the difference?
Oh, and the picture has a dark blue which I can't find on the Bal website. Picture taken at Paris.

Haha. I was skeptical when I heard it.
She was trying to explain why the ME wallet costs almost $100 more than the mGGH wallet, but honestly it just doesn't look like the hardware that contains gold, like the earlier Chanel flaps.
It is more relaxed but it doesn't slouch like Agneau. I love love love the leather smell.

She might be thinking of when the original G21 (Gold) hardware came out. Supposedly, Balenciaga used a real gold wash on the thimbles, hence the reason why they were heavier and a much brighter gold. Of course, when they decided to "cheapen" the product, they got rid of those thimbles pretty quickly.
HI, im joining the club. Here in Malaysia the boutique has both velo and town in sotck but i bought an ME Velo in Blue roi coz other sizes only left with black and beige.I love it to the max!! even my colleagues are so envy with my latest acquisition! and FYI, this is my first Balenciaga!

Yes .. I'm excited!! I've been carrying my Black/Gold Metal Trim for the past few days, and it's starting to get more slouchy by the day .. just LOVE that Hamilton leather!
Not sure if this has been asked already, but is the inside lining of the metal edge bags the same or is it suede lining? All those times I've admired the bags but never bothered to look inside. Just asking as I've seen the description on rue la la indicating suede lining.

Suede lining? Wierd. Mine doesn't have that. It's like the other bal bags lining.
I usually get the balenciaga wallets from Barneys. If there's a new bag that has come out, I usually email Erica at ****** and ask her if she'll get one in stock, and if she does, I usually prepay and she ships it as soon as she gets one. That's how I got my black one with the gold trim, and it never even made it in the website since she got only few peices and a lot of people wanted them. I just ordered the bleu roi envelope with silver trim on rue la la since I've been eyeing that so I took advantage of the sale price.
