Hiya, is someone able to post some pictures of the hardware close up? I have bought the speedy from Vestiaire and some of it is slightly different from my speedy azur! I’ve read that it’s shinier on the catogram pieces. I just want to compare photos for my own piece of mind!
Thanks!!!

I have this too. Can I ask how yours is holding up? I'm considering selling mine because I feel a bit too old to be carrying it (I'm 47). What do you think? I'm torn.
Holding up great, and call me crazy, but I think the materials they used for it are superior than for other Speedies. I think there is not an age limit, and I’m 44...:P I love mine, and think that it was a great purchase. Don’t sell!

Thank you, you totally inspired me. I think I am having a mid-life crisis because I feel so old all the time.

To make me even cat (and dog ) nuttier, I popped into the New Bond Street store here in London, and they had 2 pieces that came in from Cartogram, so I JUMPED on them. I got the cat card wallet, which is so pretty in the epic leather and the cat charm. Love them both!

Thanks again for the pep talk!

Hi Steph, If I were you, I wouldn't sell it because it is such a wonderful bag. I finally have one and love it more every day as it patinas. Vachetta was bright on the leather which made me uncertain to begin with. I was like you thinking doubting and wondering is it too childlike and comparing myself to the model on the Lv website holding the bag. But then I thought well the designer, Grace is not exactly 21 in all respect, but she’s still fabulous. It is a joyful, whimsical illustration and not suppose to be childish so not to worry. I’m also middle aged too and was a fashion designer in my past career. I also have 2 cats and dog, so I had to get it... Haha.
Initially, I couldn't find one here in Australia earlier on this year and after searching everywhere I finally located one in a Lv store in Asia of all places. I got a friend to buy it for me. When I told my SA in Australia that I had finally found one, he was quite shocked. He said they are so rare and he never received it in his own store. But only had the Neverfull versions come in. I agree with the others that the lovely thick canvas and raised texture texture makes me love it that much more. It is of course up to you, but thought you should know before you consider selling as you may not see one again in good condition. Besides, not sure how many years before LV releases another monogram print with such gorgeous happy animals on it. Don’t worry you are not too old at all. Lv is suppose to be for all age groups anyway. We all start to think silly things at a certain age :) Enjoy your beautiful speedy should you decide to keep it. X

I so appreciate your post. You read my mind exactly. I do go back and forth, but I really so appreciate your honesty about the bag. It is super cute ;-)

Thanks again.

Not a problem :) I love these whimsical cats (and dogs). I totally understand how you felt at the time. The catogram prints makes me smile, which is what Grace probably wanted the buyers to feel. xo

I am joining with my Neverfull!
A local IG consignment account got this in and wanted retail. I LOVE cats so I took the plunge and traded in one of my unused Chanels for it.

It looks like new besides what seems to be some premature glazing wear. I’ll probably just enjoy the bag and leave it. But wondering if anyone else has noticed premature glazing wear?

I would have never owned a Neverfull otherwise. They are much too common here but this is unique and probably the most practical piece for me from the Grace Coddington collection.

Since this bag is so hard to get and few made, I would buy a catogram bandeau and wrap the handle, then it looks cute and won't get any worse. OR you could ask LV to replace the handle. If you have a close relationship w/ an SA they should slip it through to repair w/out the receipt as long as your not asking for it to be fixed for free. It's been awhile but I think it was $79 when I had a neverfull pm strap replaced.
Good Score!!! I loved all the catogram and tried to buy as much as I could. I'm still mad at myself for not getting the cream shawl w/ all the little cat/dog heads when I had the opportunity. ~ XOXO

Thanks!
I don’t mind the strap glazing wear and would just use the bag rather than worry about it getting worse - I’m not one to dwell on signs of wear because sooner or later they all get that way. Just thought it was interesting considering the bag doesn’t seem well used! And I know I always have an option to replace parts if needed. I’m not a fan of tying bandeaus on bags but thank you for your suggestions.

that doesn't seem normal! esp when the bag is this new.
