That's a really nice ring :D

DH had a hammered titanium wedding ring a bit like this.

But he lost it in the sea in Hawaii

We got another one while we were there, but I can barely remember what it looks like tbh - titanium though. He doesn't wear it much due to his work.

Expat and candypants1100-gorgeous rings, I love the looks, so different and unique.
lanasyogamama-that looks similar to the one my FF wants to get.
I have heard a lot of good things about the tungsten rings, they look really nice.

My FF wants to wear his w-band before our wedding which is a year away, so we plan on purchasing it the same day we get my e-ring and w-band. He is looking for a milgrain band similar to this one http://www.tiffany.com/Shopping/Ite...params=s+5-p+4-c+288177-r+-x+-n+6-ri+-ni+0-t+. What kind of w-band does your FF want or which w-band does your husband have?

My DH has this exact ring.... He liked that it had nice clean lines, but still a little bit of detail, with the milgrain.... It was his favourite out of all Tiffany bands.

Tungsten and Titanium? Hm, I didnt know those were popular options for WB's.

What led you and you DH's to opt for those over the more typical precious metal alternatives? Ive always thought guys would want platinum.

If I replace my DH's ring with a Tungsten, it will be because it's dirt cheap, and he doesn't care if he wears a band or not, so there is no way he's dropping much $ on a replacement. I was able to talk him into the Tiffany's when we were engaged, but now that it's 10 years later, the majesty of ring shopping has passed lol!

The problem with tungsten is that if you have a medical emergency and they need to cut it off, you can't - the only way to get it off your finger is to slide it off.
My fiance and I are going to get platinum - it's more expensive but it's durable and won't turn yellowy like white gold does. Also, no scratching.

I think most guys are gravitating toward these materials nowdays because they are very sturdy so can survive the careless way a lot of men tend to treat their hands. They also look very masculine and are pretty cheap compared to the traditional metals.

As someone else mentioned though, the tungsten would be a concern because of the inability to cut it off in case of emergency.
