Yeah, when I bought her I knew that there must have been a long strap because of the loops, but I couldn't figure out how the strap attached to the bag until I did some research and saw the pics!

That's why I thought that the strap might have been mistaken for a belt. With the snap closure it could look like a thin belt.

We're bag twins! The Madison Gracie in this same color was my very first Coach bag. I received it as a gift in the 1990s and I still have it.
