I LOVE this concealer! I use the brightener first, then the concealer, then my tinted moisturizer. Sadly, the only drawback for me has been with the packaging. The twist-turn thingy that makes the makeup come out breaks very easily. I've broken two so far out of four, and I haven't done anything weird, nor am I unusually hard on them - they live in my makeup drawer, not in a purse or anything.

Anyone else having this trouble or is it just me?

I'm new to drug store make up and wonder if anyone has tips on how to pick what shade?
Seems alot of people here are having a good result and I'd like to give it a go, but have no clue on how to get my shade without being able to actually try the colors.

I bought the fair one, and luckily it turned out to be the right shade for me. Most drugstores have a return policy on beauty products now though. If you get the wrong color, you can always take it back and exchange it til you find the correct color. I've had to do this more than once with beauty stuff lol, and I've never had any problem getting an exchange or refund.

^ thank you - I didn't know you could return.
I wonder why they don't crack open a few and have a display set up - I think it would help sales. Maybe it against a policy or something, just seems in the competitive world of retail a good idea.

No problem at all. I agree that it would probably be best to have a sample of each color open, if the stores don't have some kind of policy that makes them unable to do that. Surely the stores have to be taking a hit in the profit area when ladies buy makeup and return it for whatever reason. But they are the ones offering it, so I take full advantage if I buy something and it doesn't work out for me...it's better than me wasting money and being stuck with something I can't use.

Thank you everyone for suggesting this and thank you nc.girl for your help.
I bought this today and its wonderful - I love it.
I would have paid so much more at a high end department store only because I was leary of buying from a drugstore. The color I bought matches perfect :)

Glad to help out. :smile1:
I'm glad you love it as much as I do. I've tried so many concealers, both cheap and pricey...but this one is my favorite by far out of all the ones I've tried. I really hope Maybelline continues to make this concealer for a long time.

does this concealer provide heavy coverage? I have such bad dark circles :( I've been having a hard time finding a concealer that works with my very oily skin as well.

I have very oily skin too, but I only use this for under my eyes so I don't know how well it would hold up for you on the rest of your face. It stays on very well under my eyes though. As far as coverage, I only do a couple swipes under each eye but I believe you could probably build it up more if you applied this concealer with your fingertip instead of the sponge end on the container.

It's only 0.2 fl oz. = 6ml, which is tiny! The packaging makes it look much bigger than it offers. I only tested it 2-3 times on my dark circles and am already down 1/10 of the bottle which is a bit ridiculous considering I am never one to finish a product.

Really wanted to love the concealer unfortunately it does not work for me. I may try the neutralizer as I got the light #20 and it wasn't enough coverage. However, the pink brightener #60 works well to give the appearance of a lift.

I am very pleased with the amount of product you get, too. It's 2oz, which should last me quite awhile since I am only using it under my eyes.

I've been using mine for about 2 months every day *** It's about 2/3 down but I love it. I *** it under my eyes *** ** conceal on my cheaks *** have not had any issues **** it breaking or anything.

I loveee this concealer! It's sooo smooth and it feels super light on my skin. I was afraid of the applicator because it just screams germs to me, but it actually applies the perfect amount of product, and since I am only using it around my eyes, I dont feel too bad.

I like this concealer because it feels very smooth on my skin- almost like a silicon base. The texture is definitely different from other concealers. I have obvious blue dark circles and a pale complexion. So, I first use the Neutralizer because it's supposed to provide extra coverage. And then I use the shade Light.

Although it feels nice, I probably won't be repurchasing because it does not provide enough coverage. I'm a bit disappointed with the coverage- especially because I use the neutralizer AND the Light. It barely masks the blueish tones at all. So, I completely agree with you- this product does not give the coverage it claims.

YES! I bought this at walmart on a whim, I usually go on reviews, and it's only got 3.5 stars on amazon! (the bad reviews says it burns, it doesn't burn me in t slightest) I don't actually use a color though, I use the "brightener", but that is pretty much my skin color. I'm 25 though so I don't actually have any creases or wrinkles, but very dark eyes.
