Matches pulled down the sale in the US. Does anyone remember this happening before? Last year I think the sale ran from Thanksgiving until after Christmas. I'm kinda bummed because I was ready to pull the trigger on several items. :crybaby:

Not sure where you saw that but the sale in the US still works for me??

I received a 10% off code for doing a feedback survey for a recent purchase and I won't be using it. My purchase was made on the US site so I'm not sure if the code is valid for the UK, Europe site as well. There are no exclusions listed, only that it cannot be used with any other promo code. Expires 1/13/15. Please PM me if you would like it.

Edit: code has been PM'd

Maybe I can try to use your code too. I'm from Ukraine

How long does the sale usually last? I have some things in my wishlist I'd like to buy but am desperately waiting for further markdowns. I know another cut has just been done however all the items in my list are still the same price.

It will most likely last throughout January. There will be another markdown where most sale items go for 50%, Some 70%. There will also be an additional 20% off sale code near the end of their sale

Just a quick question for those Canadians out there. I'm looking to place an order on Matches and noticed Duty is included in the checkout. I also read on the thread that some people are being charged 30-40% duties on top when it arrives at your door. Does anyone have experience with this? I would like to make an order but am hesitant to do so not knowing the charges.

From what I gathered, if I checkout from Matches and say I have a EUR100 item:
Duty being charged is about 10-11% give or take so EUR11 (as it appears on my checkout page), when this item arrives into Canada am I paying only the GST/PST/HST on top depending on my province? Or do you get dinged another 'Duty' fee once it's here?

And then there's shipping of EUR15 + DHL charges: road fee of $10 plus $4 COD fee. Anything else I missed?

Thanks all!

I'm in Ontario and I never pay less than 37% at the door. In fact, I would be thrilled to pay only 37% each time, but it is often higher - 40 to 43% sometimes depending on the category.
