If I had extra money to wager, I would place bets that Moonfancy has fainted over the Gold and is awaiting her fellow PFers to waken her!

I sent a letter to Valentina and ordered a bronze Selene with gold HW. Don't know what lining yet. I might leave that up to MM and let him surprise me. I hope to hear back from Valentina in the morning!
Moonnfancy, we may be bag twins.........I may be buying a Bronze Selene.........or the Lead Selene........ or both, lol :lolots:
Hi Anabg welcome to the Massaccesi group. I have some of his bags and love them. I love the fact they are specially made for me and I see photos of my bag that he is making on his facebook page. The leather is gorgeous and the workmanship amazing.
I am not familiar with Mansur Gavriel so I cannot comment on the difference between these two bag designers.
My reason for selecting Massaccesi is because I love bags made the old fashioned way by true leather craftsman that have been doing it for generations. I am not into mass produced bags.
I am about to order my 4th and 5th bag from Massaccesi a Selene for myself and my daughter wants an Aphrodite for her birthday.
I know how hard it is to decide when choosing a bag. I have tried 4 or 5 different designers but I must say I am really satisfied with the quality of this one.
Please let us know what your final decision is. We would love to know!!
Thanks. I have been buying LV for about 3 years and would love a petit noe in epi leather, but the constant price increases have deterred me. It's a pricy bag. Mansur Gavriel is very popular at the moment. Made in Italy, but much more affordable. Prices are similar to Masaccesi. I would love to have a Mansur Gavriel large bucket bag first (instead of the pricier petit noe) and possibly a large tote (I just need a black tote). But I hate that people are on waiting lists for 6 months to get one of their bags.
So of course I am also thinking of a selene or maybe a divina in black for my black tote. It will be nice wearing something that is not as flashy, that not everyone has but made with so much care and quality. I even sent links to the website and FB page to my mom. She is going to love the leather. Does anyone know when selene will be added to their website?

Anabg I understand why you would hate having to wait 6 months for a bag. I am not sure I could be that patient. I place an order with Massaccesi and within 2 to 3 weeks I have my bag. I also watch it being made as he often posts photos of bags that are being made in his workshop. He posted a photo of an orange Zhoe and I had ordered one when I asked if it was mine he said it was. I am not sure when Selene will be up on the website but I know he is working with his web designers to get it up onto the site. I normally work with his customer service lady the lovely Valentina if the bag is not on the website. She is a delight also I ask for some changes to my bag like shortening a strap or adding some extra holes to the messenger strap or removing links from the chain on the messenger strap. I do all these requests via email to Valentina. I have ordered both off the website and when I wanted a bespoke that was not on the website I contact Valentina and asked her to find out if they could make me an all purple Aphrodite without contrasting straps. I also wanted extra holes in the messenger strap.
They are very easy to work with and very accommodating. If you want to know when Selene will be up on the website send an email to Valentina and she will let you know.
If you start emailing her they get to know you as a customer which is also really nice because they really want to work with and please their customers.
They are fairly responsive to emails.
