I've not read anyone else customising the lining by sending in their own material - it IS possible. Marco just said the material shouldn't be too thin. I mailed two types of handwoven textile cloths from my own collection and he said both were fine so I chose the one I really want (and he returned the other contender textile together with the bag when he sent the bag to me).
Bouquet Midi in black straw and black Verona for the handles (10” drop), side ties, and bottom panel. Dark gunmetal hardware and tortilla fabric lining.
Zhoe legend in rust Vacchetta with cappuccino lining and dark hardware -- the lining didn't photograph well, it's more of a warm mid-range brown. Customization: Mia top strap, center zipper, different placement of the D rings for the shoulder/messenger strap (also added an extra strap to the interior, but that's a bit hard to see).
