Marmont Camera bag Small or Mini

I prefer the square shape of the mini but the small can obviously hold more and it has an adjustable strap. If I had a choice, I’d pick the mini, purely based on the shape.
I have the mini and it holds more than it looks. Card holder, iPhone X, sunnies with soft case, lipgloss with space for more. I much prefer the shape of the mini over the small.
I went back and forth on this one, ended up going with the small.
Make sure you try them on. The mini one, I feel, looks "cuter" since it's more compact, while the small size looks more boxy, for some people, the small one may be a little awkward due to the larger boxy nature of it. However I wanted more space in the bag, so ended up going with the small size.

The mini very small, it looks almost too tiny on (note, I am 5'9") and barely carries more than what fits in a pocket. But the shape/proportions on the small are sort of off to me, to the point where I don't really like that bag just based on looks alone. I don't know what it is, maybe it's too rectangular and too long, lengthwise? Certainly the shape of the mini is very nice, if you can live with minimal space, and maybe if you know you won't get too big of a phone in the future.
I don't have either, but was recently deciding between these two as a gift for my sister... after much deliberation in the store, ended up just getting her the Soho Disco because I still think it is the best camera bag (flipping over and dumping out, aside.) But my sister is tall and not a minimalist, maybe the Marmont mini would work better for your lifestyle.

Good choice. My thoughts exactly on the Gucci Marmont Mini vs. Small in terms of aesthetics. To the point, I end up not getting either and eyed the Soho Disco for a long time, but gave that one up too. And went for a YSL mini. This one doesn't fit much either, but it's the only mini bag I have and I love the logo hardware and the metalasse leather combo.
I’ve now got my eye on this the YSL Lou mini... super cute

Can I ask why? I’m interested to know if you’ve experienced quality issues, as I’ve watched many YouTube videos and a few have mentioned great quality “comparable” to Chanel... I’d love your reasoning before I make my choice. Cheers
I do not have personal experience. I have read about quality issues with YSL. I suppose Gucci has a special place in my heart. In the end, choose what makes your heart sing. A new bag is always exciting so good luck!
Ooh the YSL mini does look like a great alternative for the same look as the Marmont, with better aesthetics and proportions. I don’t own any YSL but I have to admit that some of their items have surprisingly caught my eye in recent times. Coincidence or maybe just that all YSL was terrible under Hedi Slimane and his successor has more talent.
Anyway... I could totally get on board with the YSL over the small Marmont (that is, if you really must not get the Soho Disco, which is perfect, if you don’t require hardware.) Bag shopping is hard indeed, but it’s easy when the right one finally speaks to you.

I had the small and returned for the Mini. I didn’t like the size of the GG logo on the small, and it ended up looking weird on me. The mini looks great. I’m 5’5

I just bought the small, even though ive had my heart set on the mini. The mini looked bigger on youtube reviews but when I saw it, I felt like it was a large wallet. It could fit all essentials but with what I carry, i would struggle getting out my essentials.
The best thing to do is go to the store and try it out for yourself. The sales associate I had was never pushy so it really helped me a lot.
