does anyone subscribe to the anthropologie catalogues?
you say you dont use them often, but like how often do you use them?? and how many do you own again??hi jun.
i know this question has been asked before, but i'm going to put it out there again. is it silly for me to own so many stams? i have no problem buying the same bag in multiple colors. the mp really works for me, so if there were a way for me to own it in every color in existence, i'd do it. the stam, as beautiful and iconic as it is, is not an everyday bag for me. it's rather heavy and not very comfortable to use. i love them and it makes me happy to own them, but i don't want to get into a rut of buying the same style because it comes in these amazing designs and end up not using them because they don't necessarily fit in with my lifestyle. i like being a collector, but i don't want this "hobby" of mine to get out of hand. thoughts?
on another note, where has b been today?

June, Just keep signing up, they are super slow at that company.
Kim, the Stam is probably my favorite handbag of all time. Sometimes I feel silly that I love it so much since its so eccentric and dramatic. I think, why don't I love other bags as much? Why am I not content with simpler designs? So really I would probably be one of the first people to tell you that there is no such thing as too many stams. In theory I guess I do believe that, BUT I also agree that with all the interesting and beautful versions MJ has been cranking out it is possible to let the stam portion of your collection get our of controle. In fact, I've tried very hard to keep the # of stam I have low because if I were not dilligent about it, ALL I would have is stams. Personally I'm comfortable with just my 2 which are very different. If I were to get another it would have to be unique from its sisters.
If you are uncomforatble with the number maybe its time to let go of one that is no longer working for you?
Ouch, that hurt to say. . .
that's the thing, space. when i think about parting with one of them, it hurts.mj came out with such amazing variations this season, so all my stams technically look different: the classic quilted berry, the fuchsia python-trimmed smooth stam, the sunburst in pale lavender, and the new one, which is different from the rest too. perhaps that's how i'm justifying keeping them all to myself... although the newest one is in the same color family as the python and quilted stams. uh oh.
