Get to feeling better soon, Beany!!

Dawn, what a horrible situation! Seven hours?? I wouldn't even want to be stuck in a car for seven hours in freezing conditions with Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Jensen Ackles and Jonathan Rhys Meyers, much less four random co-workers! Okay, maybe I could handle SIX hours with them. After that they'd all be worn out and worthless. Trust me.:graucho:

I was once stuck in the poconos in a car when the highway closed in a snowstorm. We were stuck from about 4 pm until about 6 am the next morning when we were rescued by the fire department and taken to a shelter. We were on our way back from spring break, so we didn't even really have winter clothes, just spring jackets we had worn when we left. Luckily, we had stolen the blankets from our airplane ( we had to turn off the car around 10pm b/c we were afraid if we didn't we wouldn't have enough gas to make it off the expressway once they cleared it out). Good times!

I was living in Jersey and picked up my DH at the JFK airport.... his was the last flight in that am, arriving at 9:07. Talk about bad timing!!! We couldn't get back over the Verrazano bridge back into Jersey so we were stuck in NYC the entire day... it was really awful. I had to jump a police car at the GW bridge and then wait for salvation army to give us water while we waited..... not to mention I got a flat and couldn't call AAA cuz the phones were overwhelmed. ugh, I shudder when I think about it. I think I got home at 11pm that night.... 14 hours of driving aimlessly trying to find a bridge to go home!

i think i felt bad for my hubby cuz his family was freaking out - he was on a plane at the time so they didn't know if it was his plane that hit the building or not. They couldn't reach him cuz the phones weren't working and they didn't know for a few hours if he was ok or not.

that's so terrible. When we got stuck, it was in the age before everyone had a cell phone, so out parents were in the same boat--we were supposed to be back at school around 7 but no one heard from us all through the night so all of our families were freaking out.

OMG, Thithi, that's horrible. I just can't imagine what it was like to be there that day, and for your DH's poor family wondering if he was alright. *shivers*

Sarah, so glad you were alright. That's so scary, too!

Does the new bachelor start tonight? I have no earthly idea why but I get sucked into that almost every season. It's the stupidest show on television yet I can't look away. *flogs self*
