I think they may have overestimated how popular the new colours would be - personally I don't think the sand and moss are as nice as royal, which they got rid of. The international shipping rates are ridiculous - they really need to sort that out. I've never paid more than $40 to get anything from the U.S. from any other retailer, including the time I bought a set of cast iron pans on Amazon!

Really? I think Moss is exquisite and perfect for the fall. So much richer and nicer than all the other calf colors. I think MG over extended themselves with production and couldn't make enough this time around. Some things were not restocked or had very low inventory to being with. I got a cammello/sun mini mini the other day and it is tdf in person. A lot of people are not after that combo.

I'm wondering how there are so many bags available on eBay today when the site just launched and assuming no one got their shipping confirmation already... does anyone know if those are fakes?? A lot of the bags are priced very reasonably...

There are definitely fakes on ebay, but you'd have to be more specific about which listing though. I do think that the majority of them seem authentic (look at the markups!!) and the ones below retail from China or "I got it as a gift so dunno if its authentic" are pretty much fakes.

Its very annoying though, the fakes are REALLY cheapening the brand.

Yeah that stinks. A lot of them just show the stock photos from the website. The prices are very close to the prices on the MG site so they wouldn't be making a profit with all the eBay fees. Just seems very odd and coincidental

I hope you are right because October doesn't seem too long to wait.

Think the ladybags were the most popular this round. I had saved the Brandy/Cleo ladybag link, refreshed it straight at 11, but once I clicked Checkout, it went to Inventory Issue 1>0. And I looked at the clock it was still 11! I tried for a good 4mins refreshing on the same item, each time getting the Inventory out of stock page. :(

I've got to share my eventful bag-buying story as well!

So, first off, I've tried to buy a bucket bag in several relaunches unsuccesfully. This time I had prepared myself really well (chosen which combo I want and what's my second choice, logged in etc.)

I'm in Europe and somehow I had checked the time wrong! I used an online EST clock and it was one hour behind. Being inpatient I decided to check the website at what I thought was 10.03 am EST and the site was live already! So I quickly clicked on the bag I wanted (black/ballerina regular bucket) only to realise it's sold out already! Without waiting I clicked on my second choice (same bag in black/blu).

After completing the purchase I went back and noticed the black/ballerina combo had become available again! And of course there was no cancel order button anywhere. I tried to convince myself that maybe the black/blu combo would be better since the dark interior wouldn't show stains and smudges that easily, but I still felt bad.

Jump to today (it's morning here now): I decided to come on Purseforum and read what other people had purchased, still feeling undecided about the bag I got. And I notice someone had written that it is possible to cancel an order, just send them an email. Well, of course that would be of no help to me since the black/ballerina combo is definitely sold out by now.

Then I go on NAP and there it is: the exact combo I wanted, available! Without crazy expensive shipping costs and import duties! Definitely an opportunity too good to miss. I sent an email to MG already and really hope they can cancel my order! It would be really stupid of them not to cancel it since I'm sure someone else would snap the bag right up!

Sooo I'm pretty happy and excited right now! I even splurged on express shipping so the bag should arrive in just a few days! This is definitely my day!

How did you avoid the crazy postage? Can you recommend a good forwarder? I didn't order this time but this is for the next round.....whenever that is....sigh.....

you will be better of with these retailers because you won't have to pay import duties as most bags under AU$1000. Check back regularly as well because sometimes they have random restock dates. You just have to do some extra research if you want to save the US$100 on postage...which is quite ridiculous amount

Appreciate that.

If you're considering buying from ebay, use the authentication thread and make the seller take more pictures of the bag for you to make sure they actually own the bag and see if they are responsive. Advice passed onto me and it's not foolproof but if you really gotta scratch an itch...

Make sure it's reasonably priced so you don't support those that are just trying to turn a quick buck. I've seen a mini selling for 999$ :nono::nono::nono:

999 * 0.029 = 29$
999 * 0.9 = 899
899 -29 = 870 - 495 = 375$ - misc expenses = ~ 300$ PROFIT!!!! (i'm being generous with their misc expenses) :busted
