Good for you! I believe that if you don't absolutely love it, send it back. And poor quality control is unacceptable at any price point.

Over the years, I have tried to force myself to love some bags because they were limited editions or hard to find and I thought I was so lucky to have gotten one. It never happened and I wound up returning or selling.

If it's not making your heart flutter, it's not for you! You will find the right one.

And that's exactly what they did...sold you a return! It has scratches, too!
So sorry, how disappointing but you're doing the right thing in returning...not acceptable!

It definitely looks used-you are making a good decision.

I would definitely return it. You're doing the right thing.

Definately return. It would drive me crazy too.... I mean maybe it will get better with time, but maybe it wont and for the price, I wouldnt want to take the risk.
Such a let down. Been there with a MG bag with a flaw in the coloring in the leather and I would rather be put back on the list. Cant they maybe contact you if they get another return, thats not flawed?

And I think it's standard MG procedure that the returned bags get sold again until someone keeps them. Think NAP does that too.

But good luck. Hope you get a perfect one soon.

Thanks, ladies! I am feeling better about my decision.

Just a quick question for you ladies who have had your bags for awhile. Does the gold Mansur Gavriel stay on? On a few of my older Kate Spades, the best ones are the leather bags when KS first came out IMO, they use to put Kate Spade in gold the same way and on a good many of my bags it would wear off and they would put it back on then it would wear off...you get it. I was just wondering if the MG stays on. My last post was a little negative. I've played with it a little more, sneaking it out, and it is beautiful, the color, the naturalness of the leather. Plus it holds a lot. I think I will end up loving it. Oh, and I was wrong about the cross body thing. Def works as cross body, I had a big puffy jacket on. A little tight with heavy coat but other wise ok. Pics to come.

I preordered a brandy/blu large bucket from Mill Merchantile in San Fran and received it yesterday. Either MG's quality control is BS or I got a bad bag. There are small white spots all over the bag as if it has been sprayed with bleach or something. Anyone one else have this issue? I wrote the Mill and they asked me to send photos. They said that it is the natural irregularities of the animal. I called BS and told them that it looked like it had been sprayed with bleach or something, not natural at all. They said that some of the bags came that way and I could return because they would have no problem selling it again. After missing out on the launch and waiting forever for this bag, I am disappointed. What do you ladies think?View attachment 2943372View attachment 2943374View attachment 2943375View attachment 2943376

to be perfectly honest, and i know i'm in the minority, but it doesn't look that bad to me. the cammello and brandy are notorious for showing natural variation due to the untreated leather. i have to say that even the black version doesn't hide things well either! i have a large black/ballerina one and scratched it with my fingernails within the first FIVE minutes, when i was moving my stuff in and trying to tie the perfect bow. lol i got over it and now i love every single scratch, spot (due to being in the rain) and all the imperfections it has. it really is my go-to everyday, no fuss bag! a bonus is being a crossbody bc i'm constantly chasing after a toddler or carrying a heavy diaper bag on the other shoulder. :D u should be happy with your purchase so i think you're making the right call, but i just wanted you to know that whichever bag u get will probably be scratched within the first day's use, unless u plan on never carrying it like my friend who got her black/royal bucket last year and it's still sitting in the pink box! ;)

Eep all these post on defective MGs are making me nervous about my purchases. I was one of the lucky ones who managed to order a black/flamma and flamma/flamma during the relaunch but had to get them shipped to a forwarding address in the US as they don't ship to my country. Ended up forking out another $150 for shipping so I'd be gutted if they don't arrive perfect. One more day til I see my babies! (Wish me luck!)

I agree, perhaps I am more fussy but I haven't seen a perfect one that I would call mark free. Even ones people post on here that say it came perfect I can even see some blemishes in the pictures and if I zoom on stock photos from resellers I can see them on those too. So I've had to stop being quite so picky over each mark and dot because even those I've settled on as being not too bad have ended up with a whole new set of marks after the first day of using. But I don't find the marks after using all that bad.

MGs shipping costs and no return policy is the one reason I didn't shop their site during the relaunch because of how many I've seen with flaws.

Do you have any pic of your black bag water marks?

Thanks for your input! Yeah, if it was just the scratches, I wouldn't mind, but the white spots do not seem normal and will drive me crazy. I mostly wear Balenciaga bags, so I am definitely not fussy, but the unevenness in the color because of whit splotches is a little much for me. I got a Cammello/pewter mini-bucket last year and it was almost flawless (little to no scratches, which again don't bother me), so I do not think this is a normal characteristic of the animal or the bag. However, I returned that bag, because like your friend, it would have sat in its box. :smile1:

anyone else intrigued by the two new bags coming this fall??? Kinda curious about this new Lady Bag (funny name though lol), looks kinda awkward on the hanger (a little too east-west in length), but i suppose the two strap lengths give u options on how to carry, wish someone had a pic of this on an actual person! tryingto decide if i should wait-list myself for a mini backpack or wait and see if i can get one of these new bags. thoughts?
