just take what he said at face value
this site is full of what happens in USA and Asia, with very little about Australasia
you received good service; a positive approach to ordering items for you; assurance that you would be attended to by whoever is available in the future
it could be that in that store, that is the way that they do it or are managing the current staffing and stock situation

Asking for anyone’s thoughts..I started shopping at an Hermes since 2020 and my first SA left. I now have a new SA who’s also really great. I had a K on my wishlist since my first SA and when I met the new SA I told her again that I wish for a K28. I have a spending ratio of 2:1 so far and still no offers. Anyway I didn’t want to pressure anyone so I often don’t mention it. I recently went in to purchase some Christmas gifts and although stock was low I was happy to purchase a couple of items. I didn’t mention anything about a bag and as I am checking out my SA starts explaining how the stock is so low, especially in the bag department. Is she just feeling bad for not offering anything? Does it sound like she’ll never offer a bag? I didn’t even ask for a bag since I know the stock is so low. I have purchased only a tpm evelyne so far and would love to get an offer eventually. She asked me to bear with her and I guess that means no offers anytime soon…

I’m in a similar situation as yourself. I started shopping with an SA in early 2020 and put a wishlist in for a Kelly but then she left a year later and I was assigned a new SA who I really like and she’s been great. I’ve mentioned to her several times I was on the list for a Kelly. I had filled out forms and specified colors and all that. Shes checked before and commented on bag availability and the difficulty in my color choice. She also said at one point over the summer that wishlists would expire after a year but they will call me to do a new one and if they didn’t then my wish was fine. Well this weekend I went in to buy some small items and she asked me if there were any bags I was interested in. I told her I’m really just wanting the Kelly as I got a couple H bags this year already (a Picotin from her and a Kelly danse from Paris). She looks at my wish again and tells me it’s expired after one year. I was a bit shock based on our past conversations. I’ve basically been 9 months without having my wish in the system. She invited me to come back in the new year to fill out a new one and she’ll remember this time.

Im not sure what to make of it. Im pretty sure she’s looked up my bag wish before and thought it odd no one has told me it’s expired. If I’d known of course I would have wanted to put my bag wish in again. I understand why they expire since people often change their minds.I don’t hold anything against my SA either as it wasn’t with her I put my wish with. I’m a bit lost at how to take it from here.Between the two SAs I’m over 1:1 and it’s been 2 years with no quota bag. I think I need to probably express how much I want this bag in 2022. But also open to advice. But also I’d check with your SA to make sure your wish is still valid. Xx

Hi!
I'm new to Hermes and would like to ask what are the strategies that you need to do to get a Birkin?
I've bought 2 Orans this month in 2 separate stores here in UAE and when I asked the SA how can I buy a B or C they've told me that I need to build my profile. The other male SA told me jokingly (sarcastic?) that I need to buy in their store everyday which I said no I cannot!
I'm thinkin maybe if i'll buy one tablewares everymonth can I gain a relationship?
Like if i buy one cheap item every month?
We're going to move to the us next year and theyve told me that what i boight here in uae will not be credited in the us.
I also read that u should be yourself, so does tellin them straight away that I want this bag will help? Along with buying cheap hermes items every month?
TIA!!!

Hi Moniqq,
There is a lot of info on your question here
It really depends on the store and I don't know how it works in UAE but you need to build relationship with one SA that you click. Shopping here and there will not help built H relationship with your SA. If you move store, change SA or to a different country you have to start over building H relationship again. Good luck!

Strategies don't work. You will be read and played.
Hermes does not do 'cheap'; 'inexpensive' if you like!
Make a few trips to Paris and try your luck there.

I watched one youtuber that she only bought 1 pair of sandals, a scarf and boots and voila she got her bag! Well I could do that but the only problem is will it be the same as hers. Anyway I will see when I move there I only want one constance or kelly bag and that's it. I really don't know their protocol and it's extremely puzzling!

I see. As i said my SA was very attentive, I am happy with the session overall and was able to get quite a few nice items. Just wasn’t sure what would happen to the items on my wishlist especially as I really want a Kelly compact wallet. Will just have to visit the store more often to check stock availability then. Thanks!

I don't think it works like that...
Also remember by now SA will have already seen ever trick under the sun/ on the internet from people trying to 'score'
If one bag is all you're after maybe you should try the resale/pre-loved market.
Like other's suggested you can also try Paris... but that would be another headache altogether

Yes I was thinking about that rn since I only need 1 bag to put in my collection. I don't need to buy their stuff that I feel I don't really love just to score a bag but anyways that's their marketing strategy who am I to judge. I saw one constance bag that I really love at French Hunter online, but my problem now is idk if that site is legit I cannot see any reviews. That's why it's always best to buy instore so you're always complacent.

Hi everyone!

I’m new to the Hermes journey too and trying to build a relationship with a SA here in Australia. I went into Hermes store for the first time the other day and got served by a SA (each customer get assigned a SA upon walkin, whoever’s available first). I feel my SA is an introvert thus we didn’t talk much outside me asking for opinions in choosing different items. My SA was quite friendly and helpful throughout in checking stock availability in store for me to try on. I ended up buying a number of things from him (on all the items i want eg homewares, scarf, etc). Those that are not available he would place an order or offered to note them all on my profile for me. The thing is though, upon me asking if it would be him who would help me find them, he said an Hermes administrator will keep track and notify me when they’re available in store. Is that normal? There are a few other items i want to check out and ask if i could book in an appointment to see him next time he simply said “it is hard to match schedule, whoever here would be able to show me”. He didn’t give me his business card as well as we walk out. I’m very confused. Does he not want me as a client? I’m pretty sure he wasn’t unhappy throughout the encounter.
Just want to hear your thought on this scenario. Could it be because this is my first time in store so they’re not keen to build a relationship yet? Anyhow, it was lovely to have my first experience with him and i look forward to my next trip to check out other items I’ve missed, Hermes quality is just too good to say no to.
Thanks!
It sounds like the SA you worked with was available to assist customers at the time, but not to taking on new clients. Some SAs have enough regulars where they know they aren't going to be able to take on someone new. If you love H and want to keep buying, I'd try again and see if the next SA you're assigned is more available to build a relationship.

'stuff' ?

'their marketing strategy' evolved in an attempt to single out genuine customers and enthusiasts (buying for their own use or as gifts) from professional resellers who bought or employed others to buy on their behalf so that they could sell on, I believe 'flip' is a term used in USA, at for profit at a premium.
