It's pink?? I thought it was a beige-y color! Especially with the name "desert", and on my IMac it looks beige. It is a beautiful bag...I really want it, too, but those reviews complaining of it being shapeless concerned me, since I don't want a shapeless bag that is floppy. But the comments on this thread are making me lean towards this bag now! Hmmmm......what to do?!

I have the Desert Hailey, and I love the color (and the bag)! I know everyone describes colors differently, but to me it's a dusty, muted, beige-y pink, very pretty. Some ladies have described it as mauve. It's one of those colors that looks different depending on what you're wearing, so it's actually surprisingly neutral and versatile. And the lining is a lighter version of the leather color.

I saw the Madison zip around accordion wallet in the same color and I absolutely fell in love. That pink, mauve color is one of my favorite colors.

I have another question for the desert Hailey owners though --- do you get color transfer? Does it get dirty easily? Last night that question struck me and I was thinking maybe I should've ordered the black one instead...?!

I've had no problems at all with the Desert Hailey or any of my others (including my Bone Hailey). I do treat all of my bags with Apple conditioner and rain guarde before using, and have never had color transfer issues, although I have a lot of light colored leather bags.

I like the Purse To Go organizers because they have a solid bottom; all you have to do is pull the whole thing out of one bag and put it in another when you want to change bags. I originally bought mine to give my Marielle bag some extra structure, but I love it so much I use it in all my bags. I got my PTG organizer from pursebling.com, and they do come in various sizes. I have the large one that fits most of my bags like the small Sophias, then I have a small one that I use in my Sabrina and Ashley bags.

Thank you for the info on the organizer! Sounds like something I need.

Sounds like a lovely color...thanks for the description!

These are so hard to find now! I just bought two new Haileys on eBay, one of the original older model #14304 and one of the newer Hailey #18633. I feel so fortunate to have found them on eBay and have actually been looking for several years there for them. I had an original #14304 Hailey and foolishly sold it about 6 months after I'd bought it from Coach. Have regretted it ever since. Most of the ones I've found on eBay have been really beat up so I kept waiting for a 'new' condition listings to appear.

I got a new #14304 Hailey in Black, perfect condition, and a new #18633 in Mahogany - beautiful. I do like the leather on the #18633 Hailey much better - it's so soft and smushy and feels better. I like the differences in the detailing between the two bags so each has their good points.

I will definitely hang on to these as they are INCREDIBLY difficult to find as resale. And understandably so, as they're beautiful, versatile and hold a lot for a small-medium bag. My advice to anyone on here with a Hailey is DO NOT resell it. You will have an incredibly difficult time trying to get another one if you search eBay.

Another word of caution: Also, I purchased one on line about 2 years ago and it was a FACTORY Hailey. It had the F before the #18633 and you could tell the quality difference immediately. I gave it a go as I had no luck in finding the full price versions on eBay. I ended up selling it back on eBay as the quality was just not there - zipper was rough when opening/closing and the leather quality felt different. I don't like how Coach makes factory versions of some of their FP bags for the outlets. Like the Phoebe - I'm seeing small Phoebe's on eBay that are factory ones and I imagine the quality is not nearly as nice as the original Phoebe which I have.
