>F12935 w/ bullet = i give up lol
Human error, that's all. Remember, the bullets are stamped on by sales associates pulling bags out of boxes and usually moving at a good pace. This whole thread brings back memories, as so much of it is a replay of what happened with the Zoes many months back. (nostalgic smile)
I have a FP delete Zoe that I got from an outlet (no F in the Creed's style number), but that had miraculously *missed* the bullet mark it should have received. Whoever was manning the bullet gun that day missed hitting that FP delete with a bullet -- simple human error.
And likewise, I've often seen MFF bags, complete with the telltale F in the Creed's style number), but also with a 'redundant' bullet mark. In those cases, whoever was manning the bullet gun that day, as they hauled the bags out of the boxes and got them ready for the shelves, just kept stamping and hit the MFF bag too. Again, just simple human error. Sometimes it works in your favor, sometimes it doesn't.
Honestly, those types of mistakes are normal. But if you're worried about MFF, at least on bags large enough for a creed, then what really matters is the F at the beginning of the Creed's style number. (That is, an F after the dash. An F in the *first* half, way before the dash, is part of the date stamp indicating the month the bag was made. A is for January, B for February, C for March, etc. The months run A through M, with the letter I being skipped.) But yeah, it's the F *after* the dash that *really* matters. F after the dash is MFF, no F after the dash is FP delete. Bullet mark is ... well ... dependent on whether or not the sales associate is paying close attention as she works.
(And no, they're not sending bags back, ripping out entire linings, then restitching new linings in just to change a creed. As someone pointed out above, not only would it be economically silly, but they'd end up with far more unusable bags than they'd ever want to deal with. No, they're not 'changing creeds'. Those creeds/linings are stitched in while they're being made in China. And they're also not trying to squeeze F's in between the dash and the style number much later.)
But anyway, yeah, we went through the same discussions a year or so ago when they started putting out MFF Zoes. And you'll find them all mixed in together at the outlet.
I have an FP delete, patent grey Zoe, that was mixed in with a whole bunch of MFF patent grey Zoes. In that case, my 'delete bag' actually *missed* the bullet mark, because whoever was pulling all those grey Zoes out of the boxes and lining them up to go out on the shelves, thought they were all MFF bags. So they weren't using a bullet mark gun, and so the delete I found slipped through un-bulleted. (And of course, likewise, sometimes if a girl is bullet stamping delete bags, it's easy to end up unnecessarily stamping the MFF bags instead. ..... Seriously, just go by the Fs in the creed.
