Lynn Earrings and Paloma X Earrings: Too Similar?

Hi! You have gotten a lot of great advice, and I'll add my thoughts.

First, from your writeup, it sounds like you really like the Lynn earrings, but are worried if they are too close to Graffiti.
They are not. These earrings are completely different to me. Why? The themes are opposite.
Schlumberger's designs are beautiful pieces of art. His pieces are pure feminine glamour.

Paloma, on the other hand, is the opposite. Her pieces are more edgey & industrial. Even her softer collections such as Olive Leaf or Loving Heart have this slight edginess-tough-girl to them. The Graffiti collection, by definition, is just that. It is a homage to subway graffiti (hence the collection name), an edgey theme.

With that thought, the Graffiti and Lynn earrings are very different.
Lynn is much more feminine due to the lines. Graffiti is much more industrial.

On Victoria, I love love love the Victoria line. The sparkly marquise diamonds set in platinum is beautiful. A classic.

So...
If you want sparkly diamonds on your ears, Victoria is it. You will see gorgeous bling.
If you want something more feminine with a pretty design on your ears, Lynn is it. You will see a beautiful piece of artistic jewelry.

As @mocktail so wisely said "'serving the same purpose' is in the eyes of the beholder".
Lynn and Graffiti are very different earrings to me, but even if they were not, that's a good thing. Your style and fashion look is consistent. You know what you like. I buy variations and even repeats of things I love all the time.

Off track if I may for a moment please...
@mocktail I am a rose lover too and always looking for a perfect rose scent! Jo Malone Red Roses and MFK A la rose are my two favorites. I would love to know your favorites.

Back on track...
So... what would I get if I were you? I would get the Lynn. Why?
Because you mentioned wearing "linen" and "sundresses" in one of your posts. I envision your clothing style to be romantic & feminine (I may be wrong). If this is correct though, then no doubt in my mind, I would get the Lynn earrings. They would be perfect with soft flowing feminine clothes. Plus, it sounds like Lynn is your first choice, and you are settling for Victoria and not truly loving Victoria.

I would buy what you truly love. Hope this was helpful. Good luck to you!:heart:

Thank you for such a thoughtful and insightful comment! I hadn’t thought about the different themes and styles of these earrings, just the repetition of the X shape. Your observations are completely accurate and very, very helpful, and I now agree that the Paloma and Lynn earrings are completely different vibes with this in mind.

I do mostly wear flowy feminine clothing in the spring and summer. Cotton floral blouses and t-shirts, linen pants, and patterned cotton dresses (think Anthropologie). I have found that my industrial Hardwear medium link earrings in yellow gold look surprisingly good with such feminine clothing, but the Lynn would be the perfect statement earring when I’m looking to go a different direction. Plus, as you said, they are truly artistic marvels.

Most important, as you said, they are definitely my first choice:-) I hope to visit them again this weekend and make my decision!

Thank you again!
