LV Wave Chain or YSL Small Lou Lou??

Decade long speedy, NF, and Noe lover. I have no leather bags, no chains, no flap. I am suddenly drawn to all of these features. Looking at the LV wave chain and the YSL Small Lou Lou (channel is not in my price range). Does anyone have either or both that wishes to share recommendations. Specifically interested in use as an everyday bag and wear and tear. I use the heck out of my bags!!

I have the small Loulou in black, w/SHW, and it’s a wonderful bag. I’ve had it for about 3 years now - and have used it many, many times - and aside from a small scuff, it still looks great. It holds all of my essentials, and can easily transition from day to night. While I haven’t seen the LV wave bag in person, I personally am not a fan of the way it looks. IMHO, it looks a bit cheap as compared to the Loulou, which just looks cleaner and more elegant to me. Obviously just my personal opinion, though.

Up until 4 years ago, I was very similar to you in terms of my bag collection - no leather/chain/flap bags. Then I hit 40, and suddenly that’s what I’ve been gravitating towards! The loulou is my second YSL bag (it was actually my first flap bag), and I don’t regret that purchase for one second. If you have any other questions, just lmk. I’d also check out the loulou lovers thread in the YSL subforum for feedback, pictures, etc.

Has anyone seen this bag in person? It's not available in any stores near me, so I pre-ordered it in October from Saks in rose but it's not expected to ship until late March - I'm getting antsy! I've seen this bag called the large 'loulou', 'slouchy' and 'y-quilt' chain shoulder bag on Ysl, Saks...

I would go with the Small Lou Lou! Have you tried the Louis Vuitton Diane in Emprinte in black? I think that looks real nice too.

My vote also goes to the small Lou. I currently have one in taupe and it looks great dressed up or down. I’m not a fan of the wave collection.
