I’ve both bags and I love them both for different purposes. If what you’re looking for is a casual bag then perhaps I would lean towards the vanity. But bear in mind that the capacity is smaller so it also depends on how much you carry - otherwise a similar style would be the nice, that has a few sizes depending on your needs. I hardly wear my capucines with casual clothing and realize I reach for it less often as i find it formal looking. It also is quite heavy on its own like someone mentioned above. Mine’s the BB size and when filled up it’s heavier. I suggest you try on both at the store in your usual outfit and see which goes?

I just picked it up today. I never would have thought that I would choose a capucines as an every day bag but I was sold on it but it was between that and the new Twist. I somehow knew I’d end up with it just always thought it would be a larger one but the SAs said the BB was a perfect fit. I know I’m going to love it.

Like the other members mentioned, Capucines is without zipper, so we can access to things easily. For vanity pm, you would have to practice open close the zipper and have to apply wax to make zipper smoother.
Vanity looks more casual and you can have your things securely kept in the bag, it is also a lighter bag. Capucines is more elegant, but I would recommend to get the size BB if you do not carry too many things daily , pm is heavy, Mini is very small.
I guess you have to follow your heart to decide which bag to get first.

Hi @23adeline I know you have 3 vanities, so wanted to ask you abt the inside microfibre lining. Is the inside on one side of the lining sewn upwards, and the other 3 sides are tucked or sewn down? I hope that makes sense. My friend recently got one and her lining on one side is sewen up and the other three sides it’s tucked underneath so its clean and you can’t see the stitches, and I was wondering if that is normal. Would you be able to take some pics of yours if you don’t mind. That would help a lot. Thanks so much. :flowers: :heart:

i would have to say get both! :p the capucines is so elegant and ladylike, it gives me Jackie O vibes, the vanity is so pretty too though and can be used much more casually when shopping, going out for dinner, etc. hope you share your reveal of which you choose soon!

I’m thinking about purchasing my first Capucines as well but I noticed some shoulder straps attached to the inside of the bag diagonally, some attached to outside of the bag on the left and right. I wonder why the difference?!
since you have 6 of them, I’m sure you must have some clue :confused1: is one attachment better than the other?!

The newer Capucines, have the D rings outside. It is easier to hook the strap on the D rings which are placed outside the bag. And I prefer it that way. For the older Capucines with diagonal D rings,it is a bit hard to hook especially thick strap on capucines Mini.

Capucines!
I don't have either. But I have a zip around vanity bag and a bag similar to the Capucines in function.
Being able to go in and out of the bag without fussing around with a zipper would probably be helpful when you are out and about with your kid(s).
