I've been eyeing the Pochette Metis bag lately and was pretty set on trying to find it in reverse but I know how hard this bag is to come by. However, I was on the website last night when the monogram became available and I was able to snag it (it just shipped)!! The monogram has started to grow on me and I think that it might be meant to be! I was wondering if you think I should keep the monogram or keep trying to get my hands on a reverse? I'm so torn :confused1:

I would love to hear opinions on the monogram vs. reverse! TIA :smile:

Honestly I finally saw the Reverse in person today and it did not wow me. Seeing them together the Monogram was definitely more classy. I believe down the road the Reverse will look dated where the Monogram is timeless. I like you was a little between but that was solved seeing them together. And the black bothers me on the handle and piece over the hardware. I actually had same situation. I ended up getting monogram when it became available online since that is what became available first. Then like eleven days later the reverse was available online when I was checking and I ordered that. I have decided to keep both bags. I like that the reverse is different and I actually started using that bag first since the weather here is a bit crummy this time of year and I don’t have to worry. I prefer the black leather handle cause it is worry free. My coworker today complimented my bag.

The monogram is more classic, but if you want something different or you already have several monogram bags, then maybe keep looking for a reverse if that’s what you really want. The reverse seem to be popping up more. I love the style of the bag with its compartments and the pocket on the back and it feels lightweight so I feel ok keeping both. I’ll probably let go of a bag or two I don’t use to justify keeping both.

I also have both! I like the contrast of the flap on the reverse because IMO it makes it look smaller. The mono is more classic looking so I couldn't let that one go once I was able to get my hands on the reverse. I'll use the mono when there is no chance of rain or snow... and the reverse looks amazing in the fall/winter.

I was in a similar boat as you but my SA had the Reverse available and not Monogram at the time. I’ll admit I was torn because I wanted the PM so badly but didn’t want to have any regrets if I chose a bag based on availability/pressure to quickly decide vs. what I truly wanted. I ended up passing on the Reverse and got the Monogram instead when it became available. I have to agree with the others that I too am more of a fan of the classic Louis Monogram look. Obviously do what your hearts feels is right. After all, this bag ain’t cheap lol. I still love the look of the Reverse but I don’t regret getting the Monogram one bit.

This is easy for me Bc I don’t like the monogram at all. I ordered one online ad took it to the store to return and when I did, they had a reverse there. I asked to see it Bc I never liked the pics, and fell in love! Reverse all the way. The first day I used it there was an unexpected downpour; too. It is gorgeous and no vachetta.

Both are beautiful bags! I love the black contrast with the reverse and also the classic vachetta with the monogram. One deciding factor for me was the strap so went with monogram so I can use the PM strap with my Speedy B 25 or WT Speedy and vice versa. :smile:
