LV PM Agenda: How useful is it?

I love my agenda pm for its compact size. It fits in all my small and mini bags. I mostly use it with LV calendar inserts as I prefer writing down appointments to using iCal on a daily basis. I've also used it as an all-in-1 while travelling, credit cards in small front slots, 2 A7 sized clear zip pages for cash/change then calendar inserts still in the same way, and Canadian passport sitting in the back slot. It was pretty awesome.

Here's a comparison pic with the Agenda PM and Passport Holder: image.jpg

I love the pm agendas and use them daily for written notes and reminders. I prefer writing certain things down versus keeping in my phone. I only put notebook paper in my small ones. But if I was going to do calendar type stuff I prefer the mm or gm/desk size.
I always have a pm agenda 😂

I love the passport idea though!! That’s very handy 😊

I recently bought two old agenda pm’s to use as passport holders. Red vernis for me and Borneo green epi for my husband. We’ve used them a few times with the inside rings still attached but the passports were a tight fit and left indent marks on the passport covers. So I decide to remove the rings. Much better! Okay, I am obsessed with this idea now! The passport cover I really wanted is sold out and was part of a LE collection, so I think the ship has sailed on that...but I love repurposing vintage things. How did you remove the rings from the agendas if I might ask? Do you think there is enough room to squeeze two passports into a single agenda...(maybe better in the Epi one since it looks like it has another compartment that might fit it on the opposite side?) or is that too tight of a fit? Sorry for the million questions, thank you in advance!

Hello! No problem at all, happy to help!
Ok so I can confirm that two passports can fit into each:

IMG_1761.jpegThe red seems to have more ‘give’, I don’t know if it’s cos it’s vernis or cos it’s more well-used.

The green epi still fits two passports comfortably, even if just a little tighter than the red.

It’s soooo easy and quick to remove the rings! It’s just a case of kinda lever-ing underneath one part, and once that’s up, you can slide the entire thing off.

I think this was the video I consulted for the method. Like this lady, I also used a very small flat head screwdriver:

I still have one agenda pm left (DE). I think I’m gonna leave it in tact. I did have every intention of using it for carrying around in my bag and doing written notes, I even bought some generic grid paper inserts from Amazon. I never end up using it though really, cos I’m too fussy about carrying around even just a little bit of extra weight 😂

Oh before I forget, just one more thing:
When the rings are removed, the two little bits of metal at top and bottom that held them will be extended slightly. I got a meat mallet (you can also use a small hammer) to gently beat them down so they are flush and won’t catch on anything.

I should really add to this:

⚠️DISCLAIMER⚠️ Modify your items at your own risk!

Also, I am not sure how easy/possible it is to restore the item back to its original form, especially if beating down the little metal catches as I have done! Personally I can’t imagine ever wanting to restore back, as I’m really enjoying the ‘conversion’ to passport holder :-)

I’ve often used one of my PM agendas as a passport holder, I think they’re great for this purpose! I did have a beautiful LE passport holder (Trunks & Locks, I believe the line was called) but I never used it so I sold it and I’m glad I’ve kept all my PM agendas despite never using them as agendas anymore.

I've had an agenda MM for years, and stopped using it a few years ago. I much prefer to put my appointments in my iPhone and then I can set an alert. I found that I wasn't referring to my agenda for future appointments and it was becoming bothersome. So I stopped using it altogether.
