I've been curious about the varied shades of patina on different LV bags. Could it be because LV uses different vachetta over the years? Or could owners be using different products on their bags (and this affects how dark or honeyed the vachetta turns out)? I'm also thinking maybe it's also affected by how much sun exposure the bags get :giggles: Would bags of ladies from cold, dry climates patina less than those that are used in hot, humid cities?
I second this question/curiosity but there are so many variables! My own bags vary in time and shade and extent patina development. I know some I've babied, some got lots of lotions/oils from my careless hands, some got saddle soap because it's helped me with evenness, one went to Hawaii for a month and came back past the honey and almost brownish gold and then they're from 15 years old to 5 months old. Luckily I enjoy both the process and the results.
All that to say I'm curious as well lol! Oh and, to add one more variable, has anyone noticed their bags with small amounts of vachetta patina more quickly than bags with a lot of vachetta?
