As a former packaging engineer myself, I not only get excited about my latest purchases but also about having a collection of LV boxes made in different parts of the world. So far I have boxes made in Vietnam, Italy and Hungary. How about you?
Are you referring to the saffron yellow colored packaging that your purchases are wrapped in? I wasn’t aware the origin of manufacturing was a thing. I never looked. Interesting.

Yes, exactly those. They always catch my attention. I used to develop the packaging for the Samsung TV’s that are sold in all the American continent and I was always excited to see my boxes at Walmart too. :p

Huh, how about that. I learn something new everyday. It must be pretty cool to see your work in public like that. Now I have to go check my boxes out of curiosity.

I love this thread, as I am such a box and bag lady myself!! LOL, I made a purchase yesterday and was happy to see they are using the Saffron Yellow colored boxes again and that it is collapsible. When I started collecting in 2003 they had just changed over to the dark brown, so this is my first happy box ;)
Went to a small fashion school and was in the retail industry for many years--I must say I really appreciate people in the packaging industry.

Look at the inside part of the saffron box, it should have the legend there.
I used the flashlight on my cell to help me but I really couldn’t see any markings…? Is it a sticker? The inside of the box is smooth and beige. What am I missing?

Edit: ok, I found it imprint PACKAGING MADE IN ITALY printed in black ink for the small drawer like box that SLGs come in. But for the life of me, how about the flip top boxex that the purses come in? Anyone find theirs?

I always leave the boxes behind in the store. I think it bothers my Hermes SA a bit lol. I just don’t know where to keep all the boxes at my house? I don’t store my bags in their boxes and it seems silly to bring them home then toss them in the recycle bin.

but now I’m a bit curious about all the places they’re made.
