LV Keychain drama..

Honestly, it seems to me you are buying, not only the name, but the quality and service behind the name for the insane (no offence) price that LV charges for these things.

The lack of quality is unbelievable. Of course that was going to happen eventually. And the fact that they could not do a “one time” replacement given the cost to them vs the profit made, especially for a long time client, is mind boggling.

I’m sorry this tainted your speedy. So short sighted.

Terribly so. When I asked how it was wear snd tear she responded because “people have keys hanging off of them and or toss them into their purses.” Between us, I don’t toss them into a bag - I actually don’t put my keys in my purse. I keep them in my pocket (for personal safety and related to something I’ve experienced). And as for keys hanging off them? Um that’s what it is made for. And I had 2 basic keys and didn’t even hang the keys up. The keys didn’t even hang in my car as I also have keyless ignition and no car key. So this literally happened by me using a house key and then placing it back in my coat.

I’m done with LV. I’m not paying for overpriced low quality goods. I like how my spouse put it lol. Edited to cross out a cuss word.

He advised me to write about it on their social media but upon taking a look, they are filled with complaints with no reply.

That’s ridiculous! I can’t believe they didn’t even acknowledge your concern at first. And the keychain is meant to be used with keys! I have keychains that cost a tiny fraction of that price that I purchased from hotels, airports & souvenir shops while travelling that have held up for years. So clearly their quality is lacking. Sorry about your experience. Hope a jeweller can fix it and you can at least get some use from it.

Ugh!! I know, me too actually- have an old little moccasin shoe keychain that I got from a kiosk that I still use from time to time. Totally pathetic. Thank you for your kind response

Isn't there a government agency in that country where you can file an official compaint, so an independent quality assurance firm checks the item and if they find that it was not cause by heavy use, then Vuitton would be legally forced to reimburse you? We in Europe have this. My friend fought Gucci over a cr*p shoe, they helped, and Gucci paid and apologised.
