LV Keepall 40 Aisle Seat fit

After trying to shoehorn my size 50 as a personal item, I have downsized to a 40 which fits nicely on this plane. It was a little snug on my last flight which was a 737-800. I had to orient it north-south. It exceed the space a little, but the flight attendants didn’t complain.

Thank you! It's actually a Keepall 40. I used to have this in a Speedy 30 but sold it. Regretted it. Repurchased it as a Keepall.

Oh gosh, LV luggage is what brought me into LV bags.

Just today, I tried to sell my Keepall 50 in mono to Fashionphile. I thought I was really over mono LV for travel, then my daughter found out what I was trying to do and stopped me. Ha! I might just get the leather replaced and keep it. It's the best car duffle ever.

Also, this red epi Keepall is a 40. Tell yourself it's just a huge handbag, et voila! No more luggage discussion.

Gorgeous red epi! A name is just name and you should just enjoy the beautiful bag especially if it fits your needs perfectly.

Just to help out others LV lovers who want to search for the bag online, LV distinguishes the “luggage” keepall line with two vertical strips of leather extending from the handle chaps all the way around the bag. The similar barrel shaped classic speedy does not have any bands on the side (ie speedy bandoulière) nor on the main body as it was originally classified as a handbag. Traditionally LV made the 45 as the smallest keepall, but has since come out with the 40 (aero gram), XS, city, etc. Just wanted to clarify for those confused on their hunt in the wild and ease communication when dealing with your SA (ie repair services).

Like I said, nomenclature is irrelevant when you are using and enjoying any bag to it’s fullest. So enjoy your beautiful red epi!

Keepalls are 45 and up, Speedys are 40 and down (or at least that was the general rule until 2019, since they made some special edition Keepalls since then). The Keepalls have the leather strips going around the body of the bag, Speedys only have the little leather tabs connected to the handles. This is what their Keepall 45 looked like with the 2 leather bands.
