I love the empreinte leather, however both of my empreinte leather had problem of cracks on the glaze.

Yes, it’s used regularly rain or sun and has been a workhorse for me.

OCMomof3, you are definitely right, I had an artsy too and the embossing definitely softened over the years (had her 5 years). The bottom was relatively crisp as the sides were very softened... my Empreinte Montaigne however stayed more embossed, I have her for over 3 years and the material looks nearly new.

It's interesting how that works. The bottom of my Artsy, like yours, still has very distinct imprints. I don't really mind the softening on the rest of the bag though, as it makes the monogram a bit more subtle.

I have the Empreinte Artsy, which is totally different in terms of size and how much contact it has with the body while being carried. The imprints have definitely softened, and just this past week I saw two of them being carried by other women and both had softened imprints as well. I think the portion that Tangerine marked in the care booklet is LV's way of saying that the embossing may not stay "crisp". My bag is constantly rubbing against my body, which you may not get as much with a Speedy or Pochette Metis. My Empreinte wallets, one that I've had for 4 years at least, have remained deeply imprinted. Empreinte is absolutely beautiful leather!

Have you had any of the embossing completely disappear, or is it still pretty obvious? I am searching for a pre-owned empreinte Artsy, but I expect whatever I find will have softening of the embossing.

I can't attach a pic at this time, wish I could. No, it hasn't disappeared at all, it's just not super crisp. I actually prefer it, more understated. You should be able to find a variety as you search pre-loved. Just go with what works for you!

I have the Speedy B 25 NM in Noir. It's one of my favorite go to bags. It's durable and can handle a light sprinkle of rain so you can wear it whenever. My embossing was nice and it hasn't gotten softer on the backside of the bag although it's only a year old. I don't use it daily either so all my bags look new. Empreinte is just care free, that'll be the only thing I'd by from LV new, otherwise the quality like it used to be.

I have a PM and Twice/twinset in empreinte noir. The embossing on both is still fine. [emoji4] I just pulled out my PM to use, have been using it all week. It's a great daily bag. I no longer have the twinset and my Pochette Metis still looks new. A small scuff on the bottom of the bag. I'll post some photos later today.

The embossing is still perfect as is the glazing. The only wear is on the sides where the clasps rub and where the bag rubs against me. There is a small scratch on the bottom left, I tried to photograph it but I think it's only visible in person and even then, barely. Also, scratches on the s-lock but that's a given and doesn't bother me. I'm not concerned with the wear as I've used this bag nearly everyday. I highly recommend the PM and the empreinte leather.

Be careful of the glazing with these bags - I had speedy 25 with strap and it had to be returned to have all the handle glue/glaze resealed ( I know they've supposed to have fixed this issue) and then one of the rivets came out of the strap - not acceptable quality for the price imo. Otherwise the leather has kept its colour well and it does seem quite durable.
