Good evening, Oliver.

Without wishing to sound too immodest, sir, I’d confidently offer odds of 100 to 1 against my being unaware of any billiard ball set manufactured in the past fifty years, especially one bearing a name of such renowned pedigree as Tiffany & Co.

Imagine my astonishment upon opening your link then, dear fellow, to discover a set of rarity and elegance, the like of which I had never seen before. For the sake of one’s self esteem I can only hope that this beautiful example is at least relatively new to market otherwise my ‘expertise’ in the field might be brought into question.

Joking aside, that genuinely is a great find, Oliver, and I am deeply grateful indeed for the heads up. I must confess though, sir, that a price tag of $1,500 is a little beyond my budget at present. Alas, therefore, those gorgeous Tiffany pool balls will not be rolling their way into my private collection just yet. One can always dream.

However, I’m pleased to report that one or two fellow curators in the Billiard Ball Museum possess somewhat deeper pockets than myself, dear chap... they will certainly be as fascinated and excited as I to learn of their existence.

Thank you so much, sir.

Best wishes,

Rupert.

Unless corporate decides to donate a set to your museum, I’m afraid the set will be out of reach for you. I don’t have the pricing on hand for the billiard trunk but I am sure it’s well in the five figure sum USD. If the corporate doesn’t donate a set to your museum, the only way you can get the balls is finding someone who has possession of the billiard trunk. He or she will have the ability to order “spare parts” for you although I’m sure a set of LV billiard balls will be in the thousands easily (ie a lot more than those Tiffany balls).

Hello, Kevin.

I fear that you are correct, sir. I haven’t heard anything back as yet from my recent enquiry.

One new snippet of information has come my way however, gleaned from a Louis Vuitton enthusiast friend in America. The LV Billiard Trunk and its accessories are available made to order for the veritable bargain price of, wait for it.... $57,000.

Gulp!

Thank you very much for your thoughts and advice, sir. Always sincerely appreciated.

Merry Christmas, everyone.

LV is more expensive in the US. You can buy your billiard balls at Heathrow which will be about 30% less than purchase the exact same made to order billiard set in the US as in the US, we have to pay MSRP PLUS state sales tax which can be up to 10% on top of MSRP depending where you live! These made to order pieces can take up to a year before they deliver. So if you can find someone in UK who has a set can order you parts, it’ll take at least six months if not longer for you get those balls. I suspect those balls will cost close to $1000usd each as replacement parts. Good luck and happy holidays!

Hello, ladies and gentlemen.

Alas, I have still been unable to acquire a set of the Louis Vuitton pool balls.

Just checking back in case any kind souls might be able to help in my quest? In the meantime, here are a few more exhibits from the collection.
