Hi All, I had just dropped off my Palmsprings Mini backpack due to extensive glaze peeling on the top part. Ive had her since 2019 and is a favorite! I received an update today through email and it says my bag will be available for pick up in two weeks. There was no mention of a price estimate. Im wondering if any of you had your PS Mini repaired and how much did it cost? I understand this manufacturing issue has been discussed here but I couldnt find any recent info about LV after-sales/repair pricing. I am also aware that this problem can recur but I cannot bring myself to let her go because it truly is one of my most used bags. Thank you!

Didn’t they give you a price quote when you dropped it off? I have had other bags repaired and they always give me an estimate before taking the bag (not sure if you send it in). In the past have had good experiences with repairs, cost and time were reasonable, but they have had one of my bags since November. Took 4 months to replace two side pieces that hold the strap, and sent it back without Drings to clip the strap to. Left it that day again, and it has been another 3 months. Not very happy! I have another bag that needs repair and hesitant to drop it off. So do t be surprised if it takes a little longer than expected!
 
I have had 2 repairs one. One was to a Sarah wallet, having it reglazed. That was thru the store and they gave me an estimate and time frame when they took the wallet. The second was replacement of the vachetta on my Neverfull and that was through Customer Service. I was also given the cost and the time frame upfront. They had me sign a repair contract.

Just chiming in - I sent my Palm Springs Mini Infrarouge out December 2020 in for a ripped zipper, LV said it would cost $200 but I was never charged for the repair. I got it back in about a month, all via UPS Not in store. Though I think the zipper issue is a known problem on the older PS Minis.

I've submitted 2 repairs. Both times my CA and her repair manager waived the cost so both times no prices showed up on the physical printouts, website and app. Did the person assisting you told you that it would be waived?

Thanks for your responses. I did drop it off at the store but my SA said their customer care rep is out for the day. I signed a contract too and from my account online, i can see the estimated pick up date is in about two weeks time. I have emailed them to ask for the cost but no response yet. In the contract the estimate is also left blank.

Thank you. Yes i signed a contract as well. Can you remember the cost of reglazing?

Thank you for this info. My SA said I will receive a call from their customer care team for more details but I havent received a call so I emailed to ask for the cost estimate. No estimate provided on the contract and app/account website either.
 
Usually Lv will tell you about the cost before the repair starts, you can check the note that you got from Lv. Also if the Bag isn’t older then 2 years LV also usually will fix it for free!

I think you won’t be paying anything for it!
Could you explain me where the issue exactly it? Maybe a picture? So I could make a guess for the worst case :lol:
I’ve also had my PSM repaired awhile ago but on the small leather tabs, my PSM was only 3-4 months old so the repair were free.

i did not manage to snap a photo because I dropped it off on the spot. I only intended to ask about repairs but my SA couldnt give me more info so I said im just going to leave it right then and there. So, glazing on the canvas is peeling, and it’s on the top part near the handle. As in there is a an area where the LV pattern already peeled off I am constantly checking my account online but really, only the pick up date is shown. We live a few hrs away from Paris so maybe that’s why estimated repair is under 3 weeks..

Oh i found a photo on my archives but this was way way back. The peeled area has since become bigger. It’s not very visible on this photo.

Hi All, yes so.. I'll try to keep this as concise as possible

05 June 2021 Dropped of PS Mini at local boutique
21 June 2021 I received a call from the after-sales rep, mentioning the details of the repair and the cost
*Last week of August, I received a message saying my bag is ready for collection at the boutique, cost of repair us EUR 350 for the canvas replacement. I set an appointment to collect the item
30 August 2021 I arrived at my local LV boutique to collect the bag, only to be told by the manager that there has been a miscommunication and my bag is still in Paris. They said the workshop decided to replace the canvas of the entire top and the back. My running bill has since doubled. The manager apologized for the miscommunication (on the date and the extra work) and agreed to stick to our agreed price of 350 despite having more work done.
19 September 2021 I received another notif from LV that the bag is now ready for pick up
