Yes, probably so. At this point I don’t think there are any “fresh, pristine” bags. Probably the same few getting circulated around the country.
I’m loathe to buy something at such a high price point that isn’t pristine and untouched…but I don’t think I have another to choose from.
There are 2 YT videos about the millesime speedy. Both of them look perfectly straight and crisp. The unboxing one even had the foam around the handles. So that one was definitely “untouched”.
I considered but discounted buying from this collection something that is so delicate means I’d have to baby it and tbh I don’t have the patience . But if you love it go for it, it’s beautiful but not for me
It is the holiday season after all so the selection will only get tighter until after the holidays where you will see the returns pop up. i know for a fact that this release was super limited production so the likelihood of getting an ‘untouched’ piece direct from atelier would be highly unlikely. I ultimately passed on the steamer that was offered to me and this was over a month ago so who knows where these bags are being circulated. I had the same dilemma about an artsy capucines. I was finally offered one but I know I was not part of the initial offering so I passed knowing that it was one that someone else passsed on. Not saying that it was used, but I understand your point of view, that at that high price point, it is nicer to get the product ‘Fresh’ so to speak.
You definetly have to Baby the leather! It’s super delicate. I have the men’s Pocket organizer in the millesime leather. And it’s extremely soft and feels super luxurious. But you see every little mark on it very quickly. Even if you touch it, it can leave some reddish marks, that go away after a day. But if you are some kind of perfectionist and you want to have your bag look like new all the time… then this is absolutely not the right bag.
I love the leather nevertheless, but you will see scratches, marks and stuff like that VERY quickly
I wonder what the bag will look like if I used it every day.
I asked the CA about the biannual spa treatment that is supposed to be complimentary with this leather…heard it on YT and here too, I think…she didn’t respond about it. If there are no spa services it would be a dealbreaker.
I want to get something in writing from them that confirms the biannual spa services. I don’t want to just take their word for it…and two years later they don’t know what I’m talking about. Maybe I’ll email CS and see if they can confirm in writing.

In Europe I payed 1750€, which is kinda okay for such a bag in my opinion, especially for being leather (what I have heard)!My CA sent me these pics, and informed pre-order can be done now.
