Do you take the advice of youtubers who buy luxury products? so many youtubers who are apart of the luxury community give opinions from handbags to clothes to buying cars and homes even financial advice. They do q &a's. They give opinions on social media platforms from Facebook to Instagram. Some may give good advice and some don't. I just wondering whats everyone's opinion.

I definitely watch their reviews, for input on items I am already researching. When I was going to buy my first LV item, the ZCW, I watched TONS of YouTube reviews and read on here about it. Had there been negative feedback about it, say the zipper was bad or there was some other such issue, that would have been a reason for me to not buy it.

I love to watch the "whats in my bag" videos and those unfortunately cost me money bec then I find new items I really need to not know about. :roflmfao:

I watch them because some also show every little detail of the bag. This helps when you're buying secondhand. However, I always try to locate the bag in store to see if it would be functional for me.

For example, I really, liked the LV Pouchette Metis. Watched too mant videos about it. My husband and I went to the LV boutique so I could get a look at it. When the salesman brought it out and I opened it, my husband immediately said that it was too small for me. He was right (and knows me so well). The regular Metis was too big. I'm glad that I didn't purchase it online. I hate returning things.

I view most things online through a hairy eyeball of suspicion & distrust.

I watch youtube videos for some products I can't view irl.
Good to see/hear how perform in daily use. Or how company will handle service/repair issues.
And appreciate time/effort taken by those sharing their experiences.

But, following random youtuber advice about major lifestyle considerations & finances? Doesn't make sense to me @ all.
Anyone can set up a youtube account. Anyone, anywhere.
Posting videos online (even across multiple sites) doesn't grant automatic "trusted expert" status, imo--still just people saying stuff.

Hope this helps. :)

Same here. I watch to get more info on things I can't see and touch irl. I prefer the ones that gives the pros and cons on the style and functionality of a product.

I usually watch the "what is in my bag"or "bag review"videos as a second opinion if i have to order something online and i cannot see the bag in real.
