Hi I'm new to Cartier and this forum and hope you can help me make a decision :hbeat:
Sorry if there's already a thread about this. I've searched but couldn't find one for these specific rings.

I just reached a milestone in my life and my mom wants to buy something to celebrate it. Her budget is approx. 2700 EUR / 3300 USD.

It has to be a piece I can use every day. I was thinking of getting the YG regular Love ring but when I tried it on it was way too chunky on my fingers. Our SA felt the same. The wedding band was really comfortable but I feel like it's too small and unnoticeable and my mom also preferred the wedding band with diamonds (either 1 or full) on me.
I don't wear jewelry often so I will probably wear it on its own.

So what should I choose?
1) Love wedding band plain
2) Love wedding band with 1 diamond or
3) Love wedding band with 8 diamonds (full diamonds).

If I choose the latter, I'll have to pay a little my self. But I feel like the price jump from the plain one to 1 diamond is quite a big splurge just for 1 diamond whereas the value for the 8 diamonds is better but I'll lack the screw detail.

A whole other option would be to invest in the regular love bracelet where I will pay the difference.
My heart is saying 1 diamond, my brain is saying full diamonds, my common sense is saying no diamonds and something in me is saying to go with the bangle instead

I don't own any Cartier pieces yet so this would be my first.

I got the 1 diamond wedding band as an engagement so my vote is for the 1 Diamond band. When we went to the boutique to get it resized, I was also thinking about getting the 8 diamond wedding band or the 3 diamond Regular size Love. While trying on the 8 diamond band, it looked just like any other ring to me without the screw motif so I did not like that one as much as I thought I did.

The 3 diamond regular size Love was great, but I ultimately went with the 1 diamond for comfort and sentential value it represented to me.
Our SA also said that my fiancé can come back and get the 3 diamond Love ring as our 3yr anniversary gift later and stack it.

Is your heart set on Cartier? With that healthy of a budget, you and your mom could design some elaborate and unique to you at a local jeweler. You'd get exactly the same quality diamonds and gold, obviously without the brand, though.

I usually don't like to stack my rings or wear many rings in general so the ring would have to be on it's own. Do you usually stack your engagement ring?
I'm with you on the 8 diamonds it loses the classic love charm without the screw motifs. Only positive is that cost per diamond is a lot better on that one. I'm probably leaning towards the 1 diamond.

I live in Copenhagen. Because of the higher wage and higher taxes, the price for a special piece from a local jeweler would be the same if not more expensive. There's other brands which would have cheaper standard rings, but I prefer the whole experience and knowing what quality to expect from Cartier compared to other smaller jewelers. Pricewise it's not a huge difference.

I vote for the 1 diamond wedding band. With this one you get both a diamond to make it a little bit more special than the plain, and the screw motif.
Thanks for your input. Yes that's what I've been thinking too!
I want this piece to remind me of my mom and therefore want it to be special because it will hold sentimental value. Since her budget is big enough for the 1 diamond and since she prefers that one over the others it might also be the best choice. And I feel like the one without diamonds is a bit too simple on its own.

However I have thought about it and perhaps I'm shifting towards the bracelet a lot more. Since I feel so uncomfortable with a lot of rings on my fingers I might be better off with a bracelet instead of a ring. Decisions has never been my force :giggle: I might have to revisit Cartier for a second try.
