Love bracelet size discrepancy?

Could be the screw system. It's changed about three times in the last 15 years. The different mechanisms on at least one of them have different thicknesses in the portion that touches the wrist owing to the depth of the closure system. At least, that's what I had been told by a SA some time ago.
This is so interesting—I tried on a love bracelet in size 16 the other day and the inner screws were getting caught over my wristbones. I tried this size a year ago with zero issues, and I don’t think it’s a weight/swelling problem because it was just over the bony part of my wrist. Such a bummer because I had finally wanted to pull the trigger. I guess I might have to try an older/secondhand model? Or hope for half-sizes to be released someday, because the size up (17) was much too loose.

Has anyone noticed different releases of the love bracelet being different sizes?

I have two in size 16 (One purchased online from Cartier, one from Fashionpile) But my Cartier one is slightly bigger than the other; like a few millimeters longer. I figured maybe it's because it's from 2021 while the other is older?

What do you guys think?
When they get polished they loose gold.

thank you to everyone whose added their input in this thread ... I was borderline buying a love bracelet from a second hand jewellers but now I'm thinking it's not worth the risk . I was hoping to save a couple of thousand and put it towards another piece.
But can we even trust these jewellers to authenticate the pieces accurately ?
I mean someone spending a whopping 20k on a bracelet only to find its got aftermarket diamonds in it is absolutely insane! I'd be fuming. 20k is a huge amount of money and you must have alot of trust in the jeweller . I'm so sorry this happened to you. I'd be devastated
