Love bracelet pain

I had serious postpartum carpel tunnel syndrome and I can relate the pain you’re going through. Every chore (or even a regular jerk of the hand) is excruciating.

I didn’t seek treatment as i figured it would go away eventually which it did. Baby does grow up :P

I’d think most importantly now is to nurse your hand to health. It is just no way to go around it without eliminating the root. It’s ok to let go (or simply remove from your hand and keep sake first) of the bracelet but I totally understand the sentimental value behind it. You may not need to make a decision now. Take one thing at a time. Get well soon.
I had carpal tunnel too. It went away. Many nights with a brace. Glad you got better! Right now I am planning to still wear my love. One day at a time…. Just wanted to share this odd realization. Glad I didn’t go to the doctor for arthritis. Lol

I’m so sorry about your pain. I get why your husband would feel upset, but this is not your fault.

Have you mentioned this bracelet issue to a doctor? I would talk to a physician to see if anything can be done (if you need treatment or meds, etc.) before selling your jewelry. Wishing you luck!
Hi. Somehow I missed all the notifications for my post and never realized people had responded‍♀️ I actually went to an orthopedic doctor today who said he thinks the bracelets are compressing the nerve and that I shouldn’t wear them anymore

Based on your initial post, that removing the bracelet alleviated the pain, I assume you didn't leave it on?

I've still never experienced it or really heard much about it... can you move it to other arm? I understand it's a sentimental gift, hoping there's an alternative!

Ugh. I have been wearing mine wedged up high on my wrist. At night I was wearing a scrunchy to prevent it from going lower than my wrist bone. But I got used it it pushed up high on my arm. The pain went away! If I do sleep with it low, I get terrible pain in the upper part of my thumb. May I suggest you put a wrist band on at night and see if that helps? I can’t remember, do you have a loose fit?

Mine is the closer fit. My wrist measures 14.5 under the bone and 15 over the bone. I have a 16 love and 15 small JUC. I don’t sleep with the JUC on, however.

Glad to stumble on this post, I've been having wrist pain on my left where my 2 reg loves are on 24/7. But the weird part is, I only got my 2nd reg love 3 weeks ago n in that time frame I had to remove both n rest it for 2 days as my wrist on top became tender n little bit bump swollen like. I had similar issue when I stack with reg love, small love & juc back in Aug even with just the Loves. I usually just put some patch on it.
My wrist is 15cm and Loves are 17 it's loose fitting so doubt size is the issue. I hardly sleep on my left side.
But when I stack with just 1 reg love, juc n Tennis... don't have any pain.
My Osteo seems to think that its the constant weight of the bracelets knocking on nerves n tendons.
Unfortunately I can't wear anything on my right hand due to tennis elbow n old injury at the wrist. Urgh I really like the simplicity of just 2-3 reg loves.

As a person who is about to undergo CPS release surgery on both wrists - I wondered if my bracelets were making an impact. The idea of losing the use of my thumb snd loss of nerve conduction over time really sucks. In my case, it’s both hands, but worse on my dominant (bracelet wearing wrist). Better computer hygiene, some stretching and splinting has helped but the EMG doesn’t lie, I’m going in next week. I hope to be back in my jewelry in January or Feb. 😫

Oh dear, that sounds no good but at least you got the root cause of it and kudos on you for doing something about it. I wish you a quick surgery and speedy recovery. Take your time to heal, your loves will always be waiting for you.

Having something stuck down on the arm that has weight def creates nerve and muscle issues for some who are regularly on their computer. This is why I don’t have any loves anymore and stopped buying any weighty bracelets. Even my juc or watch or other weighty bangles bother me if worn too long during the day. It’s sad but I now focus any new jewelry on earrings, pendants and lightweight rings.

Oh my, but you have such a lovely bracelet collection! (from your avatar)

Update - four weeks later - surgery successful and have been wearing bracelets on and off for the last few days. Biggest issue is the scar location and that should get better with time. My symptoms are all gone - not the pain from surgery because that’s going to take time. If you have been diagnosed and it’s been recommended- do it. I chose to do both at the same time because I have some flexibility with my job and a loving and patient spouse and no desire to go under anesthesia more than once. 😀 I am now wearing a looser Apple Watch with an adjustable band and will switch back to a panthère in a few weeks.

That is great to hear that you are on the mend and are able to slowly put on some watch n Cartier goodies on off. I realised my wrist can't take 2 regular loves stack 24/7, the longest I went was 9 days. But I have come to terms that I just need to wear 1 love 24/7 & add on a juc or dia bangle/Tennis bracelet when going out. And I plan to swap my Loves every 6 months between WG Rainbow 🌈 & RG 4Dia 🤞
