Louis Vuitton Zippy XL Wallet

Finally had some time to play with my wallet... I work at home and needed a sleek little bag for travel and to run errands. Love large bags, but found myself always just grabbing my wallet out of my tote to run into a store. My wallet was hard to hold on to, and couldn't hold a lipstick. This bag is a great size. Small enough to tuck inside a tote or travel bag but it's crazy how much you can fit inside: My passport and foreign currency, all of my credit cards, iPhone 5s, a regular size pen and a full size lipstick, wire-rim Ray-Ban sunglasses or small reading glasses, cash, change, and a few miscellaneous papers.

I considered one of the leather versions, but ultimately chose Monogram Macassar for its light weight. This is a man's bag, and I can see how it would be perfect for a guy, but it is such a classic, it works for me too. Hope these pics help...
Beautiful. I love how versatile these smaller clutch style bags are. I too tend to grab and go and bigger bags are more than I need. Congrats it's beautiful. The scarf is a nice flair.

I did a search for the zippy XL and thankfully this thread popped up.

I saw it the other day at the store and thought it would make a really chic clutch/travel wallet. Do you guys think it can be a unisex piece? Really loving the macassar leather with mono canvas, and the silver hardware is something different (compared to the women's line which we know is primarily GHW).

I remember reading your post on this Zipoy XL and loved the look and versatility of it. I was interested as I too have the large bag attraction but smaller bags fit my life better and don't cause the big-bag-pain!!!

Today I got the Zippy XL in the Eclipse, it's beautiful and what a great wallet!!! I too looked at the Kasai clutch but it was just a bit too boxy ... besides the function I think the little handle on the ZXL was the deciding detail that made me choose it. I also looked at the Felicie DE which I thought I would get but the ZXL stole my ❤️

So, thanks for your thread, review and pictures :-)

I'm really loving this piece. It is my daily clutch, easy--peasy and light, but becomes a wallet when I toss it into a larger satchel for travel. To me it's gender-neutral. I'd love to see LV do this clutch in the old Epi brights like green or orange.

You're welcome! I agree about the little handle. I hope you'll post how you're using it and what you put in it. Kasai is still on my radar, but I'm hoping they'll do something similarly small/clean with a detachable strap--to shift between clutch and cross-body.

I love this thank you!!!!! I have the LV Daily Organiser In the Monogram with black trim and I LOVE LOVE this wallet however where the strap is from carrying I can see a tiny tear in the monogram leather so i took it to the LV store and the manager said they will gladly exchange but they don't have the Daily Organiser anymore and they offered me the Zippy XL because I like large wallets. I was just so undecided they told me to think about it. But I want to keep my daily also smh!!!! I do not know what to do can anyone advise.

I love my Zippy XL. I especially like that it has gussets so that it will open wide, but will not flop all of the way open like the DO. That would have been a deal-breaker for me with the DO. The gussets give a little privacy, and allow me to hold it open in one hand while I sign something or pay with another without anything falling out. It is compact and carries comfortably in my hand, but the strap offers a more secure carry as a clutch. Let's see... I like that it holds a lot, and I can even put a pair of reading glasses or wire frame sunglasses in there, with a pen, and a lipstick and my phone. There really is nothing I don't like about it, and I'm pretty picky! It is lightweight and durable, and it's not too big for a wallet or too small for a clutch.

Yea those are a plus for me as well I do have to hold my wallet shut for privacy when paying... but instead of exchanging I'll just buy the Zippy XL. Now my other question is I have a lot of cards so 16 slots is not enough i was wondering if the LV Brazza mens wallet will fit inside the zippy XL. I work right near the LV store I will have to stop in and see. Beside I have have multiple wallets they will last forever and I don't have to put too much wear on one.

Hmm. I don't know. Yes, I guess just stop by and try it out. Lol! Why in the world are you carrying so many cards?

That is a good question. I typically had them for the different rewards they offer and Closing them would be a negative impact. I guess I could just leave them home but I have insurance cards for my kids and dental cards LOL just a lot and rather bunch them in a zipper I guess I have just always have them out in my DO i have enough slots for them. I guess I can double cards in one slot.... hmmm I have to figure this out.

I was heading toward about the number you have, and finally stopped carrying all rewards cards. I just punch in or tell the cashier my phone number--that got rid of a lot of bulk. I carry my passport in my Zippy XL, so I keep a photocopy of my insurance cards tucked into my passport and got rid of that plastic too. My store cards (like Neiman Marcus or Lord and Taylor) I don't generally carry all of the time, just when I'm heading there to shop. So, I'm down to a remarkable 4 cards, three professional/other id cards and a driver's license. :balloon: It's difficult though, I know!

I love this I am considering it. I have the LV Daily Organiser and I love it I guess I can use another wallet so I don’t put too much where on this one!
