Well, I bit. I’ve been telling myself not to get anything as I’m not a Tyler fan (no hate, just not on my radar) and prefer to spend my budget on fun versions of classic models, but I have had a crush on the envelope messenger since I saw it. Placed the order today and hopefully should have it early next week! Was originally going to get the stole too but I saw it in person at an airport store and it wasn’t the fabric I was expecting, so I don’t mind that it’s sold out now.
(Ordering has been a mission. I live in Hong Kong but I’m from the UK and came back this past weekend for a holiday, so I tried to purchase with my UK card on Friday. It got blocked; not unexpected. Got it unblocked but still couldn’t get an online purchase to go through; had a missed call from LV so I thought maybe *they* had blocked it but I called back to order over the phone and the bank was still not letting the payment through.
However, today I was passing through a city that has an LV store(? counter?) in Selfridges and I was able to place the order in person and use my HK credit card.)
Luckily this was one of a small number of bags that was still available and shipping in two days. Maybe it’s less popular because of the price? It’s quite a jump from the Keepall 25 and not far off a Keepall 50! I already have the former and don’t need the latter, though, and this was the one I really wanted. I hope I like it in person!
The SA told me there was never any stock in the UK and everything had to be ordered, but I don’t know if that was Selfridges or all UK LV stores. Interestingly there’s much more available to add to basket on the Hong Kong site - including the dog on strap, even - but everything says, “In stock, subject to stock availability” and that it ships “as soon as” next business day. It seems a lot more vague than the UK site, which gives you the specific time needed to ship for everything in stock.
