Louis Vuitton Twist MM or Chanel boy old medium

The photo you posted looks like a new medium (the larger), rather than an old medium (smaller). Are you certain of the size, and do you have the measurements? I have both old and new medium.
Neither of these bags hold their value too well...the Chanel Boy may hold it a little more. I have both the twist and the boy and would probably go with the twist if I could only have one. The twist won’t lose its structure like the Boy as it’s more structured and less likely to have corner wear. Plus the twist lock is so cool. You’ll also see a lot less twists out on on the streets.

I just took the picture from the Internet because of the color I’m looking for.
If I were to get a boy bag, it will be in the old medium size.

Hi,
I would go with Chanel Boy bag (and did :)).
I have often looked at the Twist MM, but never actually pulled the trigger as there were few things that didn’t work for me - didn’t like the shape of the bottom of the bag, didn’t like the idea of potential glazing issues (ie cracking), didn’t like easily scratched hardware and that nagging feeling that is LV’s version of the classic flap (funny thing is that I eventually ended up buying Capucines BB which I am quite happy with). I ended up going with old medium Boy in caviar leather and RHW instead. I find it plenty structured for myself as I don’t tend to overstuff it.
Hope this helps and good like deciding!

Although the Twist is more structured than the Boy, I personally think Twist does not age as well as the Boy. Also, the Twist can look a tad plain than the flap on the Boy with chunkier chain. So, I would pick the latter.

I don't love the Boy or the Twist, though I'm a huge fan of both brands. I think I would always go with Chanel if Chanel were an option. As someone else said, not a big fan of the bottom of the Twist.
