Louis Vuitton Price Increase Master Thread *please include location*

OMG - the vernis zippy is $920 now! And it did not increase. I purchased mine for under $700! I must choose another wallet before next increase. Epi zippy or elysse? Lots of time to plan for it!

Here is what I do not understand. If a new bag launched last month, then why didn't L.V just price it at launch with the increase? I cannot believe that bags that are new, only a month old, went up in price too! I think I will move onto another designer! I love and collect L.V for over 25 yrs. now, but seriously we are paying for vinyl not leather!!! I think it's out of control!! Never thought I would say this, but I think Kanye has a real valid point!!!!

Out of curiosity, what did Kanye say? I wouldn't even have thought he'd make a price-related comment, since he can afford as many LV's as he wants.

Go to Tmz.com. He said something to the fact that LV prices are getting way to high and people cannot afford it anymore. He pretty much slammed the company

I just did the same thing! The artsy I want went up $60 in the US so I guess I'll make sure to buy it in canada when we move there instead lol

Funny he said this since the heels he designed with GZ were $7k which is just ridiculous when you can get some of the most elaborate, expensive CL's for half that!

I'm not sure of the exact year, but yes I know he did sneakers with LV

I think what he meant is that he doesn't like that it influences the younger people spending money that (most) probably don't or shouldn't have to spend on things like purses and shoes.

I don't necessary agree with him saying it only cost LV "$50-$100" to make a product and over marking the retail price…But I do feel LV is slowly over valuing their current goods…I also think it not wise of him to make a statement like that when their are users on here calling out something that is seem hypocritical to say about LV.
