And I came close to buying a Mirabeau Epi Electric bag (to be launched June 1) - just so I could save the 6%. I asked them to hold it for me, and now I'm glad I came home to think about it. What, am I crazy to spend that kind of money on bag I like but don't love (when I really want to wait for the fall line to come out) just because I want to save the 6%? For me, that's not the way to make an expensive purchase, so I'm going to wait. But I am going to be very selective from here on out on what I buy.

Doesn't Louis realize - the higher the prices the less in overall sales volume (or so I'd think) - and then they are starting on that vicious circle of having to increase prices again to make up for lost sales and all that does is to encourage less and less sales activity. I just don't get their logic - they are better and smarter than that - or so I thought.

The SA told me she doesn't know how she is going to explain this price increase to customers - but said the US dollar is down on the international market. If that's Louis' motivation - then when the US dollar value increases, does that mean they will lower their prices again? Somehow I think not.

It was sort of funny because she was surprised that i knew..not sure if it's a secret or sthg...I'm being more selective as well...after the Eva today, just waiting around until i find the "right" shoulder bag in mono or vernis in my price range.

I went into my LV today to puchase the Zippy wallet in Azur and enquired about the price increase - the SA looked at me dumbfounded and said "we dont get told if there is an increase upcoming" ?????????????????/

I'm actually wanting a practical shoulder vernis bag as well - and one that doesn't "dent" if you carry it on your shoulder and put your arm down on top of it - like the puffy one they just came out with not too long ago. The Eva is nice - very versatile - enjoy that bag.

If Louis is going to keep increasing their prices - the least they can do is come out with some "user friendly" designs (like the Evora), and throw in a few more pockets in their bags.... I am really bothered by this second price increase - just can't figure out why.

A quarterly price increase?!?!? That cannot be possible!!! Even Chanel doesn't do that on ALL their products, just their flap classics...and for some reason women still rush out and by them right before an increase - why? (this is coming from a guy). Why does that work for Chanel - those flaps aren't even worth $2500.

A quarterly price increase seems a bit much. That would definitely affect my ability and desire to buy any more LV items. Oh well, if that's what ultimately happens then I'll just have to bow out graciously. It was fun while it lasted :p

What's up with your dislike for Chanel?

I purchased my first LV in Feb after the price increase. I didn't know any different because I was new to LV. Having gotten used to the current prices, I'm annoyed that they will be increasing in a few days considering they were just increased. It's unfortunate for me because with continued increases (especially if quarterly) it will price me out of the brand but I guess that's just how it goes. I'll have to move on to another brand and just enjoy the LV's I have. I am not willing to go over a certain amount for a handbag so it won't be a lot of options in my price range soon if prices are increased so regularly.

I'm not happy about this latest increase:( I've told my lovely SA to put something on hold for me, but after the big jump in Feb and NOW THIS!! ughh! I guess I'll have to start putting more effort into looking into the pre-loved market.

I am absolutely disappointed with LV and this crazy price hike. My SA said she didn't even know about it until I asked her about it on Sunday. Why don't they tell their sales people about this? My SA is also my friend so I know she wouldn't keep things from me just to try to make more profit.

I'm only going to buy new pieces that launch from now on. I will no longer try buy existing bags brand new. They will all be pre-loved no matter what. I can no longer stand to buy something for several hundred dollars more, when I could have paid several hundred dollars less a mere 5 months ago. If the rumor of quarterly increases are true, I will be searching for greener pastures. This is just complete BS to loyal customers of LV.

You have to be joking me!:pout: I was planning on going and buying a few new pieces this summer, now that's changed my mind all together, I'll have to wait and see what the prices are like. But I really hope they don't keep up this trend of increasing prices, it might just put me off Louis Vuitton for a while

Yes :-) Luxury labels down in Australia have been revising prices down due to our currently strong dollar.

that happened in Canada...our prices are a bit lowered compared to the U.S on account of our stronger CAD..wasn't always the case
