My SA called today to let me know that there will be a price increase on July 11th (I already knew that, thanks to tPFers LOL) and she gave me some news:

MC Speedy is definitely going to be $2,000 USD
Manhattan GM will go up $25 to $1895
Mini Lin Speedy will remain the same ---hooray for that at least!

She said the F/W show pieces won't affect from this price increase (e.g. the Nimbus & Motard Porchette) as well as the last season S/S show pieces (such as the Stratus GM & PM).:rolleyes:

However, the Suhali (especially ...Lockit MM) will be affected from $ 2620 to $ 2740. :push:

well that would be for the BEST we can all hope for:yes:, but I'm still sketchy about it cuz my boutique whited out all the prices in the lookbook which scares me to death:cry:

I know what you mean. I may have to re-think my "bag qualifications" and lower the minimum price point I usually start with from at least $1K to under $1K just so I can get my LV fix for new handbags. Either that or I'd have to be extremely discriminating as to which bag is really worth the price. As it is,there are too many regular non-leather bags that are approaching and/or exceeding the $2K mark! It's crazy. :sad:

Well good to hear that Manhattan GM (a pretty high-priced bag) is only going up $25. That's only 1%! :nuts: Hopefully some other items will only be affected by 1 or 2% as well!

I think about it a lot lately.. :sad:

Around $2K, I can get all leather bag like Chanel..:rolleyes:

Just an FYI on chanel~ My sister is a manager at Neiman Marcus and she receives a rather large amount of returns of chanel bags due to poor construction etc... She told me not to ever go the chanel route. This is information that I am passing on. I was really tempted to use her discount and purchase one until she told me this. Just a little tid-bit from my sister. ;)
