Those bags are pretty popular so I wouldn't be surprised.

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have been stalking the (German) LV site daily since the beginning of the year but nothing so far. I’ll keep trying.

I think that increase is mostly on bags under $1500 or around, they are too inexpensive compare to other designer brands' start prices. Someday, maybe in a year or two, we may see LV's canvas pieces all at least at $2000.

Someday, yes, a year or two, not at all likely (if you are talking US prices). That would mean a Speedy would double in price and a Neverfull would go up $740. Maybe 10+ years of steady price increases would get you close and that’s even a stretch. If this happens, it’s the first “across the line” price increase in 4 years (at least in the US). How would you get to that $2,000 number in a year or two? How many increases and at what rate?

Was able to put in a request through Client Services, to get on the list for the DA Graceful MM with Rose Ballerine interior; the SA said she's not able to confirm the price at this point, so not going to keep my hopes up. At least that probably means I'll get one! My cc information wasn't required, so guess that'll be the higher price for me; as long as I tried, I'm not going to lose sleep over it.

I do agree 2K for all canvas bags in a year or two seem like a stretch; maybe for some like the Artsy, but it's pure madness if LV will bump everything up to that threshold! Even for a Neverfull GM that'll be more than a 50% increase.

I do believe a lot of the popular bags will increase. Yes unfortunately under speculation the Speedy 30 will be over a 1000 after tomorrow not by much but I think it will be close (already is right now). Definitely not saying a Speedy will reach 2k in a couple of years as that is definitely stretching it a bit. But it has been a good three maybe four years since LV has done an overall price increase. I do see the Alma increasing all of them as the price point for that fantastic made bag was awesome compare to some of the canvas bags out right now. I read somewhere someone stated it would be on 2000 items when in fact it’s only on a little over 1000 items but not sure where that person was as I am in the US. I also want to make sure that people who are on waiting list for NEW RELEASES may not be guaranteed the old price when the item finally releases (if that price is increased). I know some SA’s are saying otherwise but realize they will tell you what they need to depending on your relationship. And let’s face it a lot of them really do not know so they are really not misleading anyone.

I am just informing the tpf community - please understand I am not trying to be extra (blow anything out of proportion) with any information given. Well tomorrow is D day so we shall all see - right!
